Collateral: It's almost as though Tom Cruise felt that by "aging" himself, he'd be taken more seriously in the role of psychopath Vincent, a hired hit-man running through the list of witnesses in some vague upcoming trial. He's dragging along a taxi driver, played by Jamie Foxx (whose career is definitely on an upward trajectory -- think the Ray Charles film, considering he's coming from his overplayed comedic characters on In Living Color). And, Cruise is effective in his role -- his assassin is smart, vindictive, brass and wholly immoral. There's little question the film is well-made and well acted -- and of course, well-directed. However, there is something sorely lacking in film, and it's difficult to exactly pinpoint what it's missing.

Chick Lit: BeansTalk has been a fan of Brit Chick Lit since 1997, when we got our first exposure to it. Our latest read was Thin Skin by Emma Forrest -- tedious, and a kind of contemporary Inside Daisy Clover. On the bright side, we've rediscovered the joys of Marian Keyes (visit http://www.mariankeyesbooks.com/ for more info) recently. Those are a delightful read. Hit and miss are the books of (http://www.randomhouse.com/features/janegreen/) and Jane Green and Carole Matthews (http://www.carolematthews.com/index.html).

This summer has been full of a lot of books, many good, some mediocre and few really bad. We've started a journal, which became valuable when I began to read books I've already read (and worse still, bought again).

Cabrera Charts: E.V.L.A./Atlantic recording artist Ryan Cabrera makes a debut on this week's Billboard 200, entering the national album chart in the No. 8 spot with his label premiere, "Take It All Away." The album's debut is driven by the success of its first single, "On The Way Down." The song has bulleted into the top 15 at CHR/Pop radio outlets nationwide and into the top 25 at Hot AC. At the same time, the song's companion video has jumped into the Big 10 at MTV, where it remains a "Buzzworthy" clip, while also ranking in the top five at TRL.

911 Mementos: A wallet, a keychain, a belt, a helmet...to most of us, these everyday objects have no real meaning, but to the families of those killed in the attacks on the World Trade Center, recovered personal items are precious mementos of lost loved ones, and for many, a way to help achieve closure. W. T. C. 9-11: STORIES FROM THE RUINS profiles the men and women dedicated to recovering these effects and tells the stories of the people to whom they once belonged. W. T. C. 9-11: STORIES FROM THE RUINS premieres on Discovery Channel on Saturday, September 11, 2004 at 10 p.m. .

On September 12, 2001, the first truck filled with debris from the World Trade Center rolled onto the Fresh Kills Landfill in Staten Island, bringing the first of almost two million tons of material to the site for examination. The landfill was declared a crime scene, and thousands of detectives, agents, forensic specialists and volunteers poured over every piece of material to piece to gather clues to help solve the case. But after the world knew the names of those responsible for the attacks, the sifting and sorting of debris continued for 10 months, almost two million hours of work, in an effort to return personal belongings to the victims' families. In this special, family members who've received one of the recovery team's bittersweet gifts recount stories of those killed in the attack, while the show travels to Fresh Kills to reveal how the painstaking process to recover the artifacts began. Viewers also get unprecedented access inside Hangar 17 at JFK Airport, where many of the non-personal artifacts are housed.

Fridge Facial: Sea Change Healing Center in New York City has partnered with all-natural skincare product company Essencia to introduce the Fridge Fresh Facial, a relaxing and refreshing treatment that lifts, tones, stimulates, hydrates and firms the skin while promoting new cell growth with fresh, natural and (where possible) organic ingredients.

The aestheticians at Sea Change worked with Juliana Lipe, the co-founder of Essencia, to develop the fresh techniques and ingredients used in the Fridge Fresh Facial. New ideas include freshly ground, and “live” organic ingredients such as: Plain Soy Yogurt, a natural antioxidant, astringent and exfoliant that loosens and dissolves dead skin while regenerating new cells and smoothing rough dry skin; freshly ground organic Almonds and Cashews to help with smooth exfoliation and moisturization; richly hydrating organic Honey; just-picked and ground Lavender Flower Buds to aid in exfoliation while releasing calming essential oils; organic milled Oatmeal to gently cleanse, soothe and nourish; churned Virgin Coconut Oil and Mango Butter to moisturize and condition; and pressed Rose Hydrosol with fresh-squeezed Lemon for sweet fragrance and astringent and toning hydration. The Fridge Fresh Facial Uses Essencia’s Oatmeal & Honey Facial Bar, Rose Facial Toner, Rhassoul Facial Masque, And Rosewater Body Milk, along with the raw ingredients listed above, in a healing treatment that includes an all-natural exfoliating and cleansing, warm compress and essential oil bath (with optional steam extraction), a hydrating and healing mask, décolletage and hand massage, all wrapped up with a rejuvenating glacial facial acupressure.

The Fridge Fresh Facial at the Sea Change Healing Center is $100 for 60 minutes with steam extraction, $80 for 45 minutes without steam extraction.

The Sea Change Healing Center is a mind/body wellness center located at 31 West 26th St., 2nd floor, New York, New York, 10010. What’s Hot: Fur Collars – we might prefer the faux kind, but the “real” thing has been showing up all over the runways and in trend stories. It looks best on those with longer necks.

Did you hear about Madonna freaking out when her cashmere “security blanket” -- which cost $6500 – went missing? It was apparently found in the hotel she was previously staying at. But trust Mrs. Ritchie to be ahead of the curve. The lux of all knits, cashmere will be very hot for fall and winter this year. You heard it here.

Rory Kennedy Doc on HBO: On the banks of the Hudson River, just 35 miles north of midtown Manhattan, sits the Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant. Approximately 20 million people live within a 50-mile radius of Indian Point -- the highest population density surrounding any nuclear power plant in the nation. Once touted as a dependable source of cheap, clean energy, nuclear power plants have become flashpoints for debate in the wake of 9/11. <>With
the "9/11 Commission Report" revealing that terrorist groups have included U.S. nuclear power plants in their plans, the possibility of a terrorist attack on such a facility has become alarming. The America Undercover documentary "Indian Point: Imagining the Unimaginable," directed and narrated by Rory Kennedy (HBO's "American Hollow"and "A Boy's Life"), examines the potential for a nuclear disaster in New York City's backyard when it debuts Thursday, September 9, 2004 at 8 p.m. For more airdates, and for information about the documentary "Chernobyl Heart" (which explores similar territory), visit www.hbo.com

Splendid American Splendor: "Ordinary life is pretty complex stuff." Meet Harvey Pekar, bona fide American original. Cleveland native, V.A. hospital file clerk, and hilariously grumpy observer of life's strange and unpredictable pageant. A comic book writer who writes about his everyday life as an omnivorous reader, jazz lover, obsessive-compulsive collector and lousy housekeeper. A prickly poet of the mundane who knows that all the strategizing in the world can't save a guy from choosing the wrong supermarket checkout line. Before camcorders, before Webcams, before nonstop reality TV, there was Harvey Pekar and his homegrown autobiographical comic book series "American Splendor." HBO Films, in association with Fine Line Features, presents American Splendor, debuting Saturday, September 18, 2004, at 10 p.m. on HBO. The film was the Grand Jury Prize winner at the 2003 Sundance Film Festival. More info and more airtimes, www.hbo.com

Wired: "The Wire" September's episodes: Episode #26: "Time After Time" Debuts Sunday, September 19, 2004 at 9 p.m. A wave of urban reform brings down the notorious Franklin Terrace public housing towers, forcing the Barksdale drug crew to find a new home onthe streets of West Baltimore. McNulty (Dominic West), Greggs (Sonja Sohn) and the detail look to make a case against Stringer (Idris Elba) with a wiretap on a drug ring run by his ally, Proposition Joe (Robert F. Chew). Assigned to the Western District drug unit, Carver (Seth Gilliam) and Herc (Domenick Lombardozzi) notch up the pressure on street dealers. MayorClarence Royce (Glynn Turman), facing re-election next year, puts Burrell (Frankie R. Faison) on notice that crime stats, and murders in particular, must come down - whatever it takes. Daniels (Lance Reddick), too, is confronted by the reach of City Hall, as his promotion to major appears to be derailed because of his estranged wife's political ambitions. On the eve of his parole, "Cutty" Wise (Chad L. Coleman) is offered a new start on the outside by Avon (Wood Harris), but after being released, he finds the drug life has changed. Under orders from Stringer Bell, Bodie (JD Williams) faces a critical test against Marlo (Jamie Hector), a fierce young dealer with lucrative corners near the now-toppled Franklin Terrace towers. With crime continuing to rise, Burrell himself is feeling heat from Councilman Carcetti (Aidan Gillen) and reaches an uneasy peace with the legislator. The street violence also presents Daniels with the difficult decision of whether or not to help end a drug war in the Eastern - at the cost of giving up a months-long wiretap. Teleplay by Richard Price; story by David Simon & Richard Price; directed by Steve Shill.

Ladies Room: Katja Esson Captures The Lives Of Staten Island Women Who Spend The Morning Commute Preparing For Their Day In A Place Where No Man Is Allowed. Every morning, the Staten Island Ferry brings thousands of workers from Staten Island to the southern tip of Manhattan. For most commuters it's a routine trip, but a handful of women who assemble in the women's bathroom on the 8:15 a.m. ferry have created a "secret little clubhouse," sharing a tight bond and casting a wary eye on outsiders. Leaving behind their roles as wives and mothers for jobs in the city, they fix their hair, put on makeup, and talk about anything and everything: sex, race, men, marriage, divorce and even which contractor to hire for a new deck. An Academy Award(r) nominee for Best Documentary Short Subject thisyear, the CINEMAX Reel Life presentation "Ferry Tales" takes a peek at the garrulous commuters who gossip and bond in the women's powder room of the Staten Island Ferry when it debuts Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at 7 p.m. on Cinemax.

Don’t Bury Six Feet Under: We may be about to give up on "Six Feet Under" (the Nate/Brenda and Claire stories are loathsome and irritating) but here's what's up for September Episode #51: "Untitled" Debuts Sunday, September 12, 2004 at 9 p.m. Ruth (Frances Conroy) is delighted to meet George's (James Cromwell) daughter (Tina Holmes), but worries as his paranoid views of the future escalate; Claire (Lauren Ambrose) gets high off her newfound fame; Federico (Freddy Rodriguez) pleads his case to Vanessa (Justina Machado); David (Michael C. Hall) confronts a demon face-to-face; Keith (Mathew St. Patrick) considers an unlikely business proposal; and Nate (Peter Krause) comes to final blows with Barb (Julie Dretzin) and Hoyt (Jeff Yagher) -- Lisa's sister and brother-in-law. Written by Nancy Oliver; directed by Alan Ball.

HBO Hopes Viewers Will Bond With New Series: "My name is Tom Evangelista. I work in New York with my wife, daughter, nephew and in-laws. Some people call us bounty hunters, but to me, we're just a family." -- from the opening of "Family Bonds"

Meet the Evangelistas of Medford, Long Island. As tight and tough as they come, they're like any other hard-working American family, with one major difference - the Evangelistas are bail bondsmen and bounty hunters. The series debuts Sunday, September 19, 2004 at 10 p.m. on HBO and is a 10-part real-life series.

Get “American Jobs:” New Political Documentary "American Jobs" Joins Laemmle's
Fairfax Theater Oscar Qualification Run, August 27 to September 2, 2004 At 5:05 p.m. As part of the Laemmle Farifax Theater’s annual Oscar qualification run for documentaries, "American Jobs" make its theatrical debut from Friday, August 27 to Friday, September 3, 2004, at 5:05 p.m., along with eleven other new documentary films including "Girls Interrupted" and "Endangered Species." Admission is $6.50; the documentaries run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and theatergoers can view as many films as they choose. The Laemmle Farifax engagement is the public's first opportunity to see "American Jobs," which will be released on DVD on Labor Day.

While "American Jobs" follows in the footsteps of recent direct-to-DVD political documentaries like "Outfoxed," first time filmmaker/former MTV producer Greg Spotts did not receive financing from political parties or advocacy groups, and the film represents a fiercely independent point-of-view. As the presidential candidates bicker over whether the economy has "turned the corner," Spotts's personal investigation offers a very different take on the state of the American economy, illustrating the faces behind the "jobless recovery" via interviews with blue-collar and white-collar workers in nineteen cities.

To promote "American Jobs," Spotts plans to bring the movie back to many of the cities and towns in which it was filmed, for a series of premieres and screenings throughout September and October. Among the first stops on Spotts’ journey will be the Pacific Northwest premiere at Seattle Town Hall on September 13, 2004, which will feature a panel discussion on jobs and trade. The film will have its official Los Angeles premiere at the Silverlake Film Festival
at the ArcLight Theater in Los Angeles in late September. Premieres and other showings are in the works for New York, Washington DC, Denver, Orlando, Kannapolis, North Carolina, and several industrial cities in Ohio.

From January to April 2004, Spotts traveled alone in eight states, interviewing workers in their homes with a Panasonic DVX-100 digital video camera and a few lights. In his travels, Spotts saw firsthand the new perils faced by American families, as multinational corporations use "global sourcing" to replace middle-class Americans with lower-wage foreign labor. In the worker’s own words, the documentary reveals families left behind by the brave new world, facing bankruptcy, foreclosure, and no health insurance while they struggle to retrain for an uncertain future.

"American Jobs" tells a story about the American economy that is just beginning to be told by activist workers and select media including CNN's Lou Dobbs. The film was entirely self-financed and was edited on an Apple laptop.

Turning To (not Into) A Pumpkin:
Pumpkin-A-Peel by Skingenious is natural enough to eat, but Pumpkin-A-Peel is a nutrient-packed pumpkin enzyme mask. The Vitamin A-filled orange vegetable contains more than104 nutrients, including amino acids, essential fatty acids, cucurbitin (an anti-cancer sugar unique to the pumpkin family), and more. The pore-refining enzyme peel keeps skin vibrant and aglow.

SPA 415 in Beverly Hills, reports that supermodel Tyra Banks and actresses Cameron Diaz and Gabrielle Union are all fans of the spa’s professional grade Pumpkin Enzyme Facial ($100/hour, made by Skingenious) – and all have bought Pumpkin-A-Peel to take home.

“The process we use is very similar to making wine, where the nutrients of the grapes are concentrated and intensified, “ explains Shan Albert, founder and creator of Skingenious. “It’s a way to coax more benefits from the fruit, instead of destroying them.” Marinating the entire pumpkin in natural ingredients, at low temperatures to retain and intensify its vitamin and mineral content, this long, slow process results in a 100% natural fruit acid formula, free of artificial color, fragrance and preservatives. Infused with concentrated pumpkin enzymes, pumpkin extracts, water and essential oils, Pumpkin-A-Peel is: an alternative to AHA’s and is a mild retonic acid substitute, a natural repair therapy ideal for sensitive skin and Rosacea, because it is not as sharp or intrusive as glycolic acid.

To clean pores and refine the skin, smooth a thin layer gently over the face, neck and/or décolletage. A slight tingling may occur as the Pumpkin-A-Peel goes to work, deep cleaning pores and gently removing dead cell buildup. Leave on for 3-5 minutes. Rinse well, and get ready to glow! Pumpkin-A-Peel is $39.00 for 1.5 oz. For more information on Pumpkin-A-Peel and other Skingenious products, please call (888) 452-2463 or visit www.skingenious.com.

Please note: Today’s newsletter is brief -- BeansTalk is going out of town, but will be posting Monday, August 23, 2004.

What Everyone’s Wearing: Even Neiman Marcus is pushing their ponchos, which can be found everywhere, including department stores and “mall” shops. Given the trendy and distinctive nature of the garb, it’s probably best to not dole out tons of coin for one. We especially like the caplet ones.

We LOVE these: http://www.soyscentscandles.com/ -- they’re really truly the best of the wonderful soy candles. More on this later.

Todd Tour Dates: Josh Todd has added more tour dates to their on-going U.S. trek in support of their “You Made Me” album, which is out now through a partnership between TODD Entertainment, LLC. and XSRecords. They’ll play several shows with Tesla, a show with Orgy, and make an appearance at the 3rd annual “Locobazooka” festival in Fitchburg, MA on September 26, 2004.

They’ve done more than six month’s worth of shows, including ones at this year’s X Games and Japan’s “The Rock Odyssey” festival along with Aerosmith and The Who. More dates are frequently being added. Hit Parader recently described Todd as “…one lean, mean rockin’ machine…this is a band that celebrates the inherent glory of rock and roll with every note they play and every word they say.” www.joshtodd.com is the band’s website, which features photos, video and sound clips.

If AB 2151 is not passed by the state legislature, PP Los Angeles will face a loss of 2.5 million dollars--a loss this large would force us to reduce or eliminate some of the health programs we currently offer. Send a fax to your State Senator to ensure that PP and other safety-net providers are not forced to cut vital services that our communities depend on.
Urge your State Senator to vote “AYE” on AB 2151

Soap Starters: Russell Crowe, Alec Baldwin, Marisa Tomei, Kevin Bacon, Viggo Mortenson, Mischa Barton… all started on soaps.

On September 6, 2004 at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. ET/PT, SOAPnet presents the third installment of its original one-hour special, “They Started on Soaps,” featuring actors who started in daytime and then made it big in primetime and movies. Experts, including casting directors and journalists, discuss such actors as Kristin Davis, Kevin Bacon, Lori Laughlin, Kyra Sedgwick and Marisa Tomei and what makes daytime the perfect breeding ground for the hottest faces in the business.

Who’s Wearing What: Erika Christensen stepped out at last night's premiere of the new comedy Without A Paddle in a floral dress by Elsie Katz Couture. She walked carpet in a cream, pink and yellow floral chiffon dress with sweetheart neckline, rusching down the front and a full 1950's style skirt.

Elsie Katz Couture, designed by Donna Baxter, features vintage-inspired feminine and whimsical designs. Baxter named the collection after her grandmother, Elsie Katz, who believed in pink marabou boas and sparkly tiaras for everyday. The Elsie Katz Couture collection has recently been seen on Sharon Stone, Famke Janssen and Paris Hilton.

Hot for Fall: Brooches, fur, metallic shoes, gloves and tweed handbags are, according to Neiman Marcus, the must-have items for fall.

Coach Exec on Trends: Reed Krakoff, President and Executive Creative Director of Coach, discusses the new season's trends: Refined, highly sophisticated clothes with an emphasis on dramatic color combinations, exotic prints, and elegant silhouettes dominated the New York runways for fall. The looks felt more polished than in the past, and most of the season's trends are reflected in our new collections of fall bags and accessories. Here are a few of the key trends

Sport Looks
Many of the designers showed vibrantly patterned sportswear pieces that were mixed together to create a fun, active look. Clothes like these are great accented by our sporty Optic Signature Demis and Hobos in shades like Bordeaux, Black or Fatigue. These bags are subtle but modern enough to get attention.

Black & White Drama
The head-to-toe black and white looks for this season are a big story for both night and day. This trend goes great with our bold new collection of zebra print accessories or our solid black or white Soho Hobos and Soho Leather Totes.

Latest Steps
The news in shoes was all about originality. Two of our favorite styles this season are the Tabitha - an updated Mary Jane featuring our Signature fabric with brass rivets, and the Darrie - a chic sandal made of sleek, contrasting patent and metallic leathers.

Something Fishy: BERLIN (Reuters) - Environment activists piled thousands of dead fish at the foot of Berlin's biggest tourist attraction, the Br andenburg Gate, Tuesday in a demonstration against over-fishing and pollution in the North Sea.

"It's not the fish but the politics that really stink," said Bjoern Jettka, press officer for Germany's Greenpeace.

On a hot August day at peak tourist season, visitors to the famous neo-classical landmark were greeted by the smell of 11,000 rotting fish displayed on a 100 meter long table under banners bearing the slogan "Don't waste life!."

"We caught the fish in the North Sea on board the Greenpeace ship Esperanza using a standard 10 meter commercial fishing net, said Jettka. "The net has a huge pipe attached that sucks up fish indiscriminately like a giant vacuum cleaner."

The dead fish on display -- some 95 percent of the catch, including endangered species of octopus and sea urchin -- were those that commercial crews would normally throw back overboard for failing to meet traders' criteria.

"Some 700,000 tons of dead fish are thrown back into the sea each year -- this waste problem will affect future generations if no one takes action," said Greenpeace marine biologist Thomas Henningsen.

"Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder must hear our protest."

Demonstrators hoped the prominent site, flanked by luxury hotels and foreign embassies, would attract attention and urge Schroeder to pressure the European Union (news - web sites) to reduce over-fishing and pollution in the North Sea.

Prive Oxygenates: Laurent Dufourg, owner and creator of Privé Salon and Privé Formule Aux Herbes haircare products has styled some of the world’s most celebrated men and women for over 15 years. His salons in New York and Los Angeles, with a third location to be unveiled at the new W Hotel in Seoul Korea, offer the latest techniques in color, cutting, styling and haircare. The latest, Oxygenating Scalp and Hair Treatment, was created exclusively by Privé Salon.

Oxygenating the follicle of the hair enhances cell metabolism and regeneration, therefore strengthening the entire hair shaft to promote growth, reports DuFourg. Oxygen is also an anti-bacterial agent, ridding the scalp of any product or environmental residues that block natural cell rejuvenation. All hair types (and skin types) benefit from oxygen, which moisturizes and restores dry and chemically treated hair and normalizes oily hair.

This newest deep penetrating treatment, created by Brigitte Beasse of Privé Los Angeles, begins with a scalp massage, utilizing personalized essential oil blends created for each individual client, specific to his or her hair type and special needs. This first step of the treatment enhances blood circulation, thus preparing the scalp to receive and absorb the oxygen.

Oxygen is then administered to the scalp with a special machine, the Alchemy Oxygen Fountain, which generates 97% pure oxygen from a hand held spray devise, offering more precision in treating problem areas of the scalp. Privé Formule Aux Herbes Intensive Mask is then applied, followed by a second scalp massage and lymphatic drainage of the neck and nape areas, to initiate an internal cleanse that eliminates toxins. The process is complete with Privé Formule Aux Herbes Reparative Shampoo and Conditioner. This 45 minute treatment leaves the hair and scalp nourished and strengthened, resulting in luxurious shine, volume and texture. The entire process combines Privé Formule Aux Herbes Reparative Shampoo and Conditioner, Privé Formule Aux Herbes Intensive Mask, Essential Oils and OXYGEN.* Price is $70, not including blow out. Cost of blowouts begin at $50 depending on the length of the hair.

Laurent D’s clients include: Sharon Stone, Uma Thurman, Tea Leoni, Audrey Tautou, Gwyneth Paltrow, Diane Lane, David Duchovny, Jewel, and Adrian Brody to name a few. For more information about the Privé Formule Aux Herbes collection, please call 866-351-1193.

Bright Whites: Today BeansTalk headed out to the valley (Tarzana, specifically) to visit Dr. Sameer Puri (http://www.socalsmiles.com/), where we experienced the much-heralded The Rembrandt One-Hour Smile Whitening procedure. Our curiosity finally got the best of us – given how many stories we’ve done on teeth whitening (and specifically this treatment), it was wonderful to finally experience the results ourselves.

The procedure offers up fast and uniform whitening results, using a whitening agent and Rembrandt’s Sapphire light, a very high intensity light which accelerates the whitening process. It is not a laser nor does it produce significant heat as some other systems do. The light doesn’t harm teeth. More than 3,00 dentists nationwide are Rembrandt One-Hour Smile Whitening Center dentists. Dentists like Dr. Puri help fight against bleaching relapse, which means a return visit might not be necessary – despite stain-producing daily lattes or red wine with dinner.

Most in-office bleaching procedures, such as the competitor Brite Smile procedure, bleach all the teeth at once. Since some teeth are darker and more stained than others, this technique can cause uneven results. The special curing light used in Rembrandt One-Hour procedure can bleach all teeth at once or one tooth at a time, concentrating on problem teeth. Unfortunately, fillings, crowns, or veneers don’t change color with whitening. Some patients report transient sensitivity in the teeth for a day or two, and even achy teeth later on the day of the bleaching. This is similar to side effects seen with home bleaching, but occurs much less often. In any event OTC pain medication can control this transient problem.

The actual procedure is mildly to irritatingly uncomfortable – a plastic guard is place over the mouth to protect the lips, tongue and gums from contact with the whitening agent. A BeansTalk associate had the procedure done in a Beverly Hills dentist’s office, and despite watching a video and an in-office massage during the procedure, she said she wasn’t likely to repeat it (she experienced a “TMJ-like” problems with her jaw that lasted months). Dr. Puri provides patients with a horn (a real one, like you’d have on your bike) to immediately notify Brenda or Dr. Puri himself if you need them. They checked in with us often, and are perfectly fine with patients who want to end the treatment sooner. We were determined to finish out the treatment for the full effect.

So far, we haven’t experienced any of these post-treatment discomforts and the closest we’ve come to a side-effect is avoiding accidents as we perpetually smile into our rear-view mirror.

After a Rembrandt One-Hour Smile Whitening procedure, Dr. Puri – and other Rembrandt dentists, -- provide patients with revolutionary low-abrasion Rembrandt Plus Toothpaste with Peroxide, clinically proven to maintain the new whiteness of teeth (and it can also be used as a smart everyday fluoride toothpaste). It’s actually a cute little kit in a silver mesh cosmetic bag filled with Rembrandt goodies.

In addition, Rembrandt One-hour Whitening contains a desensitizing agent that helps eliminate the sensitivity people often experience during a professional tooth bleaching procedure. Sarah Michelle Gellar, Noah Wyle, Calista Flockhart, Lisa Kudrow, Helena Bonham-Carter, and Regis Philbin have been quoted as noting that they use Rembrandt Oral Care Products.
