Hudson Down Under

Actress Kate Hudson supported the local(s) as she walked on the red carpet at the Australian premiere of her latest movie 'You, Me and Dupree' in the Sydney suburb of Parramatta, Sunday, July 23, 2006. Hudson wore a dress by leading Australian designer Collette Dinnigan on July 23, 2006 for the premiere Hudson chose an asymmetrical silk-chiffon gown in a beautiful red and white cherry print. The floor-length dress was custom-made for Hudson’s premiere.

Before we say what we’re going to say, let us preface this by saying we are in no way implying we know any better or are any better fashion or beauty-wise. In fact, we simply call it like it is and describe ourselves as short, fat and our ethnicity. Hudson is gorgeous. She is probably even prettier than her mother. She may be a bit too thin.

But here’s the thing – she probably shouldn’t wear her hair back. She should probably keep it to its sexy tousled longish look. Her ears, in this hairdo, look huge. Like she could fly. Look at her expression in the close-up photo, right. Like she knows. Like her very wealthy successful award-winning mother should’ve pinned her ears back when she was younger. Hey! Just wear your hair down, honey.

But the Dinnigan dress is great and we’re all for supporting the local community. Especially one like Parramatta, where we someday hope to visit. (AP Photo/Mark Baker)

Foxx Dons Kwiat

Actor Jamie Foxx, star of the action film 'Miami Vice', attends the film's premiere in Los Angeles July 20, 2006. The film, based on the popular television series of the same name, opens July 28 in the U.S. He’s seen in the other photo with his co-star, actor Colin Farrell. Foxx (who everyone knows loves his bling) wears a pair of rare brown diamonds studs, seen left, (5cts., valued at $50,000; btw, referring to them as "studs" man-lifies them, when they're actually just big ass impressive earrings) by Kwiat and a sleek brown diamond and platinum middle-finger ring, seen right (18cts., valued at $200,000!) by Kwiat. Lots of hip people wear them. Check this out...

See, they come in all kinds of sizes (sort of). To the left, you see Nicole Richie, which means they come in children's sizes. Above, Sharon Stone, so that means a thin, tall woman, and to the far right, on Mrs. My Fair Brady Adrienne Curry, it shows they fit an (America's Next) Top Model.

Seriously, if you're going to shell out the coin for these ultra popular jeans, you're going to be able to fit in them and they're going to look fantastic. FANTASTIC. Well, don't they??

We Love These Shirts!

Chicago based Tangerine Promotions, LLC launches its first apparel collection, Materialust. Designed for men and women, the line is sold at high-end boutiques and specialty stores.

Materialust’s collection of t-shirts features rare and exclusively licensed vintage artwork from various countries, cities, and unique destinations across the globe. This is SO a BeansTalk kind of thing.

The artwork appearing on the shirts derives from vintage travel brochures, matchbooks, pamphlets, napkins, and even street graphics. We say, oh so clever.

“Just about everyone has an emotional connection with traveling. Materialust is giving consumers part of that experience by exposing them to some of the most creative vintage travel artwork from around the globe,” says Steve Friedman, CEO of Tangerine Promotions.

For its first release Materialust will be taking its passengers to Paris, Bombay, Tijuana, Las Vegas, and Honolulu. More international destinations are scheduled with each upcoming release, including Tokyo, Havana, Madrid, Cairo, and London to name a few.

Each shirt features a unique hang tag (resembling a vintage airline luggage tag circa 1964) with the airport codes of each destination and a special wash that makes each garment feel like an old souvenir t-shirt from your favorite vacation.

Materialust shirts retail between $50 and $60.

Materialust’s offices are based in Los Angeles where the brand is managed by Steve Friedman and Ben Cornwell. Cornwell is an alumnus of Trunk Ltd; the Culver City, CA-based (whoo! Shout out for BeansTalk's hometown) high-end vintage apparel collection famous for its re-issued rock vintage shirts. Friedman is the CEO of Tangerine Promotions, a promotional merchandise company based in Chicago, IL. www.materialust.com

See how cute they are? Of course, we are a little tublet-y to wear crew neck (we are also cursed with being short of neck so this kind of neckline make us look like a cousin It kind of egg). But we would SO wear one of the V-neck. Cute cute. Love the concept.

McConaughey Dons Speedos

Matthew McConaughey took to the water on a hot summer day wearing Speedo’s summer style boardshort “Mackerel Cove”. The tan and navy shorts feature atropical print design on the side with a D-ring eyelet tie draw cord. Smokin’! (Despite what BeansTalk guilty pleasure Perez Hilton and his pals say are McConaughey’s stubby arms). Hey, we’re not huge fans -- we've been known to call him McCraza-hey -- but we call it like it is!

Speedo is evolving beyond swimwear into a fashion-forward portfolio of active wear for both men and women with the help of Olympians Michael Phelps and Amanda Beard. Celebrity clients include; Rebecca Romijn, Renee Zellweger, Jerry O’Connell, James Denton and Triathlon athlete & actress Maxine Bahns.

The British Are Coming! The British Are Coming!
Keane News: EXCLUSIVE

You heard it here first. The popular pop band Keane will shoot their latest music video this Friday in an undisclosed westside location (translate: the home of a BeansTalk friend).

BTW, I love the two photos here, initially when they started (and in their cute, but especially cute because there's a spice of nerd there) and here they are now, in their current super-hot, teen-dreamy stage. The latter means that there's a tad of 'tude.

Here's a bio for the unindoctrinated:

In 2002, following several years of experimenting and honing their sound, Keane decided that they needed to get out and play live. They booked two acoustic gigs, one at the 12 Bar Club, another at the Betsey Trotwood. Fierce Panda mini-mogul Simon Williams caught the Betsey Trotwood gig, and asked Keane to put out a single on his label.

They chose ‘Everybody’s Changing’, a sweeping, majestic ode to feeling utterly lost when everyone else seems to know the score, which was recorded for zero pence. “The recording session was a little rough and ready – the song was literally made in a room in someone’s house,” Tom laughs. “And we had to go round to a different house to mix it, because the speakers broke.” It would be difficult to find origins more desperately indie, yet ‘Everybody’s Changing’ sounded like a Number One chart hit before you even got to the chorus, and it immediately began turning heads. Steve Lamacq decided that it was one of the best singles in Fierce Panda’s entire history – not bad for a label, which housed early releases from Coldplay, Idlewild and Supergrass. He declared that Keane were “somewhere between a scuffed Coldplay and a frankly bewildered Beautiful South”, hammering the single on his show and eventually calling the band in for a session on BBC 6Music. Xfm were on the case, too, with Clare Sturgess requesting a session from the band, while a Sunday Times profile noted that Keane were responsible for “three and a half minutes of pure pop loveliness”. NME wrote that ‘Everybody’s Changing’ was “indisputably mighty” and compared Keane with “‘Kid A’-era Radiohead covering A-ha”.

What all these people spotted – and what the rest of the world will shortly find out for themselves – is that despite the reference points, Keane’s beguilingly beautiful music really isn’t like anything else that’s out there right now. “Our songs have universal themes and are emotional,” Tim nods. “People want emotion. But that seems like quite a rare thing these days. I don’t think there are many bands who are making music which actually means anything. There’s nothing to identify with.”

Things, at last, were beginning to gather pace. Keane’s first UK tour saw Tom, Richard and Tim performing at venues up and down the country to audiences of between five and 300 people. They didn’t look like many other bands – there was no guitarist, a factor which might send some purists screaming into the hills but, Richard says, really wasn’t a conscious decision.

By the time spring 2003 rolled around, the boys were out on the road again, and labels were already putting offers on the table. “All we were after was the opportunity to make the right record with the right people,” Tom shrugs – which is where Island stepped in. “We’ve never wanted to be a small, cult band,” Tom adds. “We want to get our music heard by as many people as we possibly can, because that’s why we’re making it.”

Throw in a startling appearance in the New Bands tent at the Reading and Leeds Carling Weekend, more plaudits for the boys’ second single ‘This Is The Last Time’. And, once again, it sounds like all the bands who’ve ever meant anything to anyone, but at the same time it only sounds like Keane.

“People often say that they wish they’d been around in the 60s,” Tom says. “But we’re happy just where we are. We love rock’s back catalogue, and now we’ve got a chance to add to it. After all, tunes never go out of fashion.”

Miller in Wylde, Again

Sienna Miller’s often been dubbed Thomas Wylde’s muse and last Friday, 7 July 2006, she wore boots by the cutting-edge label, as she hit the town with her new (alleged) beau, actor James Franco (who was Harry in "Spider-Man" and used to date Marla Sokoloff, who'll be in a new sitcom this fall, "Big Day." If you're interested, watch it right away, we're not so sure it'll be around too long. BTW, trivia buffs may be interested to know that Sokoloff and Franco met on the set of the 2000 teen film "Whatever it Takes.")

Miller chose Thomas Wylde’s leather “Piccadilly Boots” in black featuring oversized silver studs down the sides; $1,700. Items in the Thomas Wylde line range from $112 to $3,305 for the line’s couture leather items.

Paula Thomas, the Head Designer and Founder of Thomas Wylde (the line launched four years ago) she presents her first Spring/ Summer Collection, Black Summer, and since then the buzz has continued to build. Reps say the design inspiration behind Thomas Wylde is “in part the woman who fully embraces her rock n’ roll past, present, and future. All the elements of a diamond-in-the-rough, coupled with chic sophistication, are infused into her debut collection.” Fans of the Thomas Wylde label include celebrities such as Kate Moss, Liv Tyler, Lindsay Lohan, Alicia Keys, Charlize Theron, and Cameron Diaz.

Miller is seen in the photograph in a couple of Wylde’s designs, including her Oscar gown, called the “Black Winterlily Barbican.” Also seen is a close-up of the skull scarf (approx. $300) that took starlets by a storm last winter.

Deputy Chief Brenda Johnson (Sedgwick) is called in to investigate the death of a paparazzi photographer who appears to have killed himself by jumping from a hotel window. Her team of investigators soon discovers that a popular celebrity was staying at the hotel and may have been the target of the photographer’s prying camera tactics.

Meanwhile, Fritz (Jon Tenney – You Can Count On Me, Get Real) has been getting calls from a female colleague at the FBI, stirring up feelings of jealousy in Brenda.

The Closer’s Screen Actors Guild Award’s-nominated ensemble cast also features J.K. Simmons (Law & Order, Spider-Man) as Assistant Police Chief Will Pope; Corey Reynolds (The Terminal, Tony nominee for Hairspray) as Sgt. David Gabriel, Brenda’s right-hand man; Robert Gossett (Arlington Road, The Net) as Commander Taylor, head of the Robbery Homicide Division; G.W. Saved – “Cowboys and Independents” Directed by Alex Zakrzewski, Written by Kira ArnĂ©

Lifeshield becomes a living hell for Wyatt (Scott) after corporate-minded Kroll (Curtis Caravaggio – Earthsea) is hired as the new medic supervisor. Kroll proceeds to whip Lifeshield into shape, but Wyatt stubbornly resists the efforts to clean up and acknowledge authority – even risking his job to save an accident victim’s life by unauthorized means.

John “Sack” Hallon (Omari Hardwick – Beauty Shop, Sucker Free City) is thrilled when his son is accepted into the elite Westbrook Academy, but the school’s pricey tuition means serious financial hardship, leading Sack to seek supplemental income, including making nice with Kroll to win more overtime.

Alice (Elizabeth Reaser – The Family Stone) has difficulty dealing with her boyfriend’s daughter Hailey (Victoria Tennant – The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants), after the girl tries to drive a wedge between Alice and Lanier (Andrew Airlie – Fantastic Four, The 4400).

Meanwhile, paramedic Angela de la Cruz (Tracy Vilar – The Steve Harvey Show, ER) and newbie EMT Harper Sims (Michael McMillian – What I Like About You, Firefly) are called before the EMS Board to testify as to what happened with the patient who supposedly had a DNAR legal order. Angela is concerned that Harper’s by-the-book attitude will lead him to reveal that Angela did not confirm the order existed before allowing the man to pass away peacefully at home.

Saved comes to TNT from Fox 21, Imagine Television and Sarabande Productions, with Sarabande’s David Manson (Nothing Sacred, Thief) and Imagine’s Brian Grazer (The Da Vinci Code) and David Nevins (Arrested Development) serving as executive producers.

After The Crash: Bob Dylan 1966 – 1978 mixes historic footage with review and criticism from experts, friends, fellow musicians who played with Bob, and even the odd enemy. It covers the history of Bob’s ‘middle period’, from his still controversial motorcycle accident through to his conversion to born again Christianity.

Once again, this film is produced in collaboration with Isis Magazine, the world’s best selling and most respected Dylan journal. Writers and critics Clinton Heylin, Nigel Williamson, Patrick Humphries and Derek Barker offer their thoughts on the records and other projects completed by Dylan across this period; Jacques Levy, in his final interview, discusses his work with Bob on the Desire album; musicians Rob Cornelius, Bruce Langhorne, Eric Weissberg, Kevin Odegard, Rob Stoner and Scarlet Riviera all talk of their experiences working with Bob Dylan in the studio and on the road, and this is just the beginning.

This program is the most informative, inspiring and downright entertaining document on this period of Bob Dylan’s life yet to emerge. It's what every Dylan fan has been waiting years to see, the fully documented history of Bob Dylan’s most secretive period, augmented with Bob’s music, rarely viewed footage, previously unseen photographs and a host of other features.

Extra features include the “Interactive Bob Dylan Discography”, the comprehensive Isis bootleg selection, the complete 1971 Weberman tapes (the full recordings of telephone conversations between Dylan and Weberman, surreptitiously recorded by AJ) and selective ‘Beyond DVD’ section.

Features Rare Performances of these Bob Dylan Classics

• She Belongs To Me

• Girl From The North Country [with Johnny Cash]

Not All Hair Dryers Are Created Equally

The Z-Ion Dryer from Metropolis, features their Zirconia Technology, with Ultra-Lite Construction

Zirconia Technology with 3x More Negative Ions Provides:

40-50% Reduction in Drying Time

More Manageable, Shinier, Softer Hair

Humidity-proof Styles That Last Longer

Low EMF Approved

10 Year Warranty

The Zirconia ceramics have negative ion conductivity and heat resilience. The zirconia is first nano-crushed, then fused with ceramic powder and embedded into the dryer's heating element.

Heat from the Inside Out. The far-infrared heat delves to the core of the hair shaft and is thus much more healthy for the hair than regular heat, which resides mainly on the surface and does damage. Far-infrared's "heating from within" gives you enhanced workability and better, faster results without the negative effects associated with standard "high heat."

What do negative Ions Do? Negative ions break apart water molecule clusters, dissipating them significantly faster.

The resulting smaller, micro-fine particles are able to penetrate the cuticle and moisturize the hair shaft from the inside, hydrating and replenishing.

Negative ions smooth and tighten the hair shaft's outer cuticle layer so hair becomes more manageable, feels softer and adds incredible shine.

The Z-Ion Dryer is powerful yet lightweight, due to a blend of technologies combined with state-of-the-art, futuristic materials that, merged together, form their UltraLite construction.

Clinical tests show the Z-Ion Dryer to deliver up to 3 time more negative ions and far-infrared rays than other leading dryer, cutting drying time nearly in half.

Moisture-infused hair will be much more resilient to the changes in air humidity levels and everyday stresses.

The smoothed and tightened outer cuticle layers of hair shafts eliminate frizz at its source and remove the opportunity for split ends to occur.

10 Year Warranty: Metropolis features a 10-Year Limited Warranty

Lohan's Bikini'd Bod

Lindsay Lohan Wears Celebrity & Starlet Bikinis by CeaSwim

CeaSwim's pure white swimsuit trimmed with tortoise shell rings, the Celebrity, is double lined for absolute security in the water (you know what that means don't 'cha??? If the carpet doesn't match the drapes, no one will know -- the barely there bikini hides all).

A classic swimsuit with a modern twist, CeaSwim’s “Starlet” suit is available in black and green, “Starlet” is accented by removable shell trimmed ties that add detail to the suit.

Lindsay Lohan is a huge fan of CeaSwim bikinis and owns every style and color. On July 5, 2006, Lohan partied in Malibu wearing Celebrity by CeaSwim (you'll note the paparazzi pic above, as she beckons to some unknown/unidentified minion on a tony Malibu balcony). On July 8, 2006, Lohan relaxed on the beach in Malibu wearing a CeaSwim green Starlet bikini (we don't have a pic of this, but we've seen it and it basically looks like her in the white suit, but it's slighly different and green. We're sure you can picture it).

The Backstory: Cea, a former international model, believes in celebrating the feminine form. Her fashion sense was combined with Jannette Maedel 20 years of experience in panty pattern-making. CeaSwim sizes range from XS-XL and retail at $45 for the top and $45 for the bottom. To view the current collection, visit www.ceaswim.com.

* Marcia Cross loves CeaSwim suits so much that she gifted them to 20 of her close friends who spent the weekend at the Ritz Carlton for her wedding
* Eva Longoria bought CeaSwim Bikinis for Carmen Electra and Constance Marie
* CeaSwim bikinis were recently worn on HBO’s Entourage
* Mischa Barton sent a note to CeaSwim saying that she loves the bikinis

(Click twice on image to enlarge enough to read the ids). BeansTalk mentioned how Marcia Cross donned her CeaSwim suit after her wedding to splash around the pool at Pasadena's Ritz Carlton (and if you were at her recent (nearby) San Gabriel wedding, you'll remember it was 102%, and the pool was probably great relief. Still, Cross isn't the only fan, just click on the above image to see how nearly every super starlet loves her CeaSwim

Get the Led (Out)

Led Zeppelin: The Origin of the Species on DVD August 8, 2006

Here's a bit of our youth, although the era this DVD covers even predates us.

MVD Visual and Sexy Intellectual are pleased to announce the home viewing release of Led Zeppelin: The Origin of the Species for U.S. distribution on DVD. This sounds very interesting to us.

This 70-minute film covers the years of struggling before Led Zeppelin, including the session studios and amateur band scene of the 1960s. It then focuses on the modest success of outfits like The Yardbirds and Band of Joy, and eventually culminates in the formation of Led Zeppelin, the first two albums, international acclaim and popularity. It features exceptional musical performances, obscure footage, uncommon interviews, and rarely seen photographs.

The program is injected with review, comment, criticism and insight from; Alan Clayson, author of The Yardbirds and Led Zeppelin – How Why and Where It All Began; Chris Welch, former Melody Maker journalist; Keith Altham, ex-1960s NME editor; Chris Dreja, Yardbirds guitarist; and many more.

Featuring Live and Studio Recordings of these Classics: Whole Lotta Love, Good Times Bad Times, Dazed and Confused, Communication, Breakdown, and Rock and Roll.

Bonus Video

Journey Lead Singer Replaced

Jeff Scott Soto to assume Journey lead singer duties starting on July 7th in Bristow, VA due to Steve Augeri throat infection

Due to a chronic throat infection, Journey’s lead singer, Steve Augeri (seen in left band photo, he's far left), has been forced to leave the band’s current nationwide tour with Def Leppard. Jeff Scott Soto (seen emoting, photo right), who has previously performed with Journey guitarist Neal Schon, will assume the band’s lead singer duties starting with the July 7th show in Bristow, VA. Steve Augeri’s condition will be closely monitored by his physician to determine when he may be able to rejoin the tour.

According to Journey, “Steve’s been suffering with an acute throat condition since before we kicked off the tour with Def Leppard. We were hoping he’d be in well condition to handle the rigors of the road but unfortunately it appears to be a chronic condition requiring total voice rest. We all wish Steve a speedy recovery.”

Dog Whisperer Faves

Problem Pooches and Frustrated Owners Meet The Leader of the Pack – National Geographic Channel Presents First Ever Dog Whisperer Week

Three World Premieres; Six Nights of Favorite Episodes

July 30 – August 4, 2006

Three-month-old beagle got you down? Bichon frise freezing you out? Mild-mannered bull terrier turning into the “Incredible Hulk”? Problem dogs… or problem owners? If the difference between a good dog and a bad dog is the one holding the leash, then National Geographic Channel’s (NGC) Dog Whisperer Cesar Millan is just the man for the job.

Beginning Sunday, July 30 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, Dog Whisperer is working six straight nights of overtime rehabilitating dogs and training their desperate owners. Complete with three world premiere episodes, America’s favorite dog behavior expert and number one New York Times best-selling author Millan uses his calm, assertive guidance to take the bite out of these canine transgressions and to teach the owners how to be pack leaders in their own homes. Dog Whisperer Week delivers some of Cesar’s most memorable moments along with new episodes – including one full hour featuring Cesar’s pack at his Dog Psychology Center in Los Angeles.

To kick off Dog Whisperer Week, NGC will host a live online chat with Cesar Millan on Friday, July 28 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT. For more information, visit www.ngcdogwhisperer.com.

Kicking off all the remarkable transformations are three world premiere episodes.

Dog Whisperer: Sugar, Nixa, Dax & Pete and Snowflake

Sunday, July 30 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT (World Premiere)

First, Cesar discovers that Sugar is anything but sweet! Ray and Linda Forman adopted Sugar as a baby pup. Now three months old, this beagle terror chews on anything and pulls things off tables and counters. How will Cesar take Sugar off her own sugar high? Next, Cesar meets Brigitte Englahner, who has three German shepherds. For six years, Brigitte has been trying to keep the peace by alternating the three dogs between rooms. How will Cesar stop this demanding rotation? Can there be a peace treaty in the Englahner household? Next, meet Malcolm and Judi Sitkoff, who were enjoying a quiet life until Snowflake, a fluffy Bichon Frise, arrived. Snowflake has warmed up to Malcolm but still gives Judi the cold shoulder. Judi is so afraid Snowflake might bite her in the middle of night that she now sleeps in the living room recliner. How will Cesar take the bite out of this Bichon?

Dog Whisperer: Bikini, Fella, Winston & Oliver

Monday, July 31 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT (World Premiere)

On walks, Winston, a two-year-old Yorkie, attacks his own leash, plants and one-year-old fellow Yorkie, Oliver. Owners Tom and Valerie are worried Winston is getting more and more neurotic. How will Cesar be able to temper Winston's destructive nature? Then, Cesar meets the Burtons, who have three Championship Bull Terriers. One of them, Bikini, has a dangerous habit of attacking bigger dogs - turning from a mild-mannered puppy into the "Incredible Hulk." How will Cesar put this bully Bull Terrier in her place? Finally, Cesar meets single mom Cindy and her adopted Jack Russell/Italian greyhound named Fella. Cindy faces possible eviction from her apartment because Fella constantly barks while she is at work. How will Cesar soothe this frantic Fella?

Dog Whisperer: The Power of the Pack

Tuesday, August 1 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT (World Premiere)

Cesar Millan's Dog Psychology Center in Los Angeles is both home and refuge to nearly 50 dogs, boasting canines from celebrity clients to those deemed "unfixable," to dogs belonging to the Millan family itself. In fact, many of the canine rescues at the center were about to be put down until Cesar came to the rescue. Now the pack lives in harmony, and is a vital tool for Cesar and his rehabilitation of other problem dogs. In one of the most intimate and revealing episodes, witness some of Cesar's most memorable pack moments and experience for yourself the Power of the Pack.

Other episodes airing during Dog Whisperer Week include Cesar’s training of actress Denise Richards (Thursday, August 3 at 10 p.m. ET/PT) and NGC fan-favorite Teddy, the spinning poodle that turns into a Tasmanian Devil every time a car passes (Monday, July 31 at 10 p.m. ET/PT).

With Dog Whisperer Cesar Millan going directly into the homes of dog owners – without any prior information about the dog’s case – the popular series documents the remarkable transformations that take place under Cesar’s calm, assertive guidance. Each week, Cesar rehabilitates aggressive, scared, lazy, compulsive, and jealous dogs – and the families that are usually in the dark about how their own behavior contributes to the dogs’ quirky traits. His unique talent first developed on his grandfather’s farm in Mexico, and now, at his Dog Psychology Center in Los Angeles, he receives as many as 100 calls a week from owners desperate for help.

Dog Whisperer is produced by MPH Entertainment and Emery/Sumner Productions for National Geographic Channel (NGC). Executive producers for MPH Entertainment are Jim Milio, Melissa Jo Peltier and Mark Hufnail. Sheila Possner Emery and Kay Bachman Sumner are producers. For National Geographic Channel, senior executive producer is Char Serwa. Senior vice president of production is Michael Cascio. Executive in charge of production is John Ford.

Ajne in NYC

Ajne Parfumerie & Apothecary Debuts at Bendel’s July

Ajne Parfumerie & Apothecary will lure the fragrance elite to Fifth Avenue this July 6th-9th with its East Coast debut at Henri Bendel. Ajne, the brainchild of artisan perfumer and master certified essential oil therapist Jane Hendler, is the nation’s premiere destination for rare and precious perfumes, custom-blended on site. Now, Ajne will charm New Yorkers with its complex and elegant signature scents.

Ajne’s customized fragrances are based solely on an individual’s personality and natural skin chemistry. Ajne has designed a proprietary computer analysis system that accesses a database of over 2,000 ingredient combinations and more than 200 pure and natural components. After completing the computer analysis, Hendler (or one of her skilled staff) personally interviews each client to obtain additional insights. Next, the client is invited to sample various rare and precious naturals from around the world to begin to assess scent preferences. Then, Hendler develops a fabulous multi-faceted parfum or eau de parfum by adding or subtracting from the parfumerie’s extensive collection of complex prĂȘt-a-porter or ready-to-wear bases.

Ajne uniquely puts this ancient art to the service of modern clientele who want fragrances that are subtle and personal. In fact, Hendler brings personalization in its purest form to the world of prestige fragrance. With Ajne, scent seekers work one-on-one with Hendler to create their own custom scent, or choose from a collection of “ready-to-wear” blends created by Ajne in a variety of styles that even provide therapeutic benefits such as calming, energizing, or acting as an aphrodisiac.

Jane Hendler will showcase Ajne’s prĂȘt-a-porter line at Henri Bendel on July 6 to 9, 2006, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. while guiding customers through the “Ajne experience.” Hendler has blended for Hilary Swank, Reese Witherspoon, and Kanye West…just to name a few.
