The Accessories Council held the 16th Annual Ace Awards Monday, 5 November 2012 at Cipriani 42nd Street, New York, NY.

The Accessories Council hosted the 16th Annual ACE Awards, honoring individuals and companies who have furthered the awareness and use of accessories.  Annually, the ACE Awards are presented to designers, brands, retailers, celebrities and media who have helped to enhance sales and promote accessories at the consumer level.
 
The night included a cocktail reception at Cipriani on 42nd Street followed by a dinner and award ceremony. A Swarovski-adorned cake, baked by Whipped Bakeshop and featured more than 130 pieces of glittering Swarovski jewelry—totaling in more than 3,000 Swarovski Elements and weighing more than two pounds.  There was also a performance by BollyDoll, an appearance by singer Amrita Sen and electronic musician Anthony Marinelli.  Additional lead sponsors of the event included Marchon, Judith Leiber, Trebbianno, and G-III.
 
In light of Hurricane Sandy, the Accessories Council donated all gift bags from the event to Glam 4 Good and will be making a significant donation to the American Red Cross.
 
The Accessories Council, a not-for-profit national advocacy group, was formed in1995 by accessory manufacturers and retailers to unite a diverse industry and create a singular voice. The Council addresses industry concerns and promotes accessories to the consumer. Membership includes major retailers across the country and renowned brand and designer names. These members comprise a large percentage of the $30 billion accessories business in the United States.
