Jenny Packham's Rapunzel at Harrod's
British Designer Jenny Packham designed a fairy tale dress for the window of world renowned London department store, Harrods.
To celebrate the new 7000 square foot Disney Princess Pop Up boutique at Harrods this Christmas, the store has commissioned a number of leading international designers to create their own imaginings of fairy tale dresses including Snow White, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty with Jenny Packham designing her version of the iconic Rapunzel dress to grace the Harrods window display.
A heavenly feminine interpretation, Jenny has created a full length empire line chiffon gown in amethyst with a pleated chiffon bust and tulle neckline encrusted with amethyst swarovski crystals. A flowing full chiffon train embellished with cascades of Swarovski crystals represent the plait of Rapunzel’s legendary long hair.
The magical design was unveiled in the window of Harrods on November 1st. Other designers taking part in recreating the fairy tale dresses include Oscar de La Renta, Valentino, Versace, Marchesa and Elie Saab.
