Starlets Discover Shari Wacks

Shari Wacks, the L.A- based jewelry designer who created the pineapple quartz necklace worn by Jennifer Lopez throughout “Monster-in-Law,” held a trunk show in Los Angeles on Sunday, July 10, 2005, when Mischa Barton dropped in. Although alone, the “O.C.” star chatted on her cell, talking to a pal about the "at least ten paparazzi" following her that weekend day. Barton chose two original Shari Wacks long white necklaces, designed to be layered together. One gold-filled necklace was adorned with white agate stars, all the rage in jewelry now-while the other had small white faceted mother of pearl.

Amanda Bynes has visited Wacks on at least three occasions, and has purchased a thick chained, single-drop psychedelic stone. She also bought one with multiple blue stones for the same sought-after layered look. Also spotted at the weekly Hollywood fashion event that day was Mary-Kate Olsen.
