Strange Invisible Perfumes
by Lindsey K. Wagner BeansTalk Contributor
Featured on the pages of Vogue, Elle, and W Magazine, Strange Invisible Perfumes opened its Venice, Calif. doors in celebration of Valentine’s Day this past weekend.
The chic Parisian-style perfumery hosted a fine jewelry trunk show just in time to surprise that special someone with a unique gift for Valentine’s Day.
Complete with complimentary champagne and cupcakes, the show featured jewelry collections from Rachael Chyna White, including her Demitasse line, and designs from Jamie Joseph and Brooke Gregson, which were all offered at 10% off.
Strange Invisible also previewed it’s new scent for men, Peloponnesian, before its official spring release. Offering a limited number of bottles during the show, the new eau de parfum boasts a blend of mountain, sage, honey, orange, lime and cypress hints. Officially released March 1, 2010 Peloponnesian will surely be a hit not only with men, but the ladies by their sides.
The show also featured all of Strange Invisible Perfumes signature collection, including Black Rosette, which according to Katie Putnam, the PR Coordinator for the store, combines notes of leather and roses, giving it a rock-n-roll feel.
With Spring right around the corner, Putnam recommends the scent, Aquarian Roses, a crisp, fresh scent, with aquatic notes of wild roses. With hints of sandalwood, this clean scent is perfect for either sex; its just one of the many botanical perfumes Strange Invisible offers that caters to both men and women.
For those interested in a much more intimate scent of their own, founder, Alexandra Balahoutis, will create a one-of-a-kind custom scent based on the individual. At the back of her boutique, sits her consultation room, resembling a modern stagecoach, where she will get to know her client’s personality. It’s here that the client gets to taste different floral waters and apply different essences to their skin, to help find the perfect composition for their personalized scent.
Prices start at $135 for Eau de Parfum, and $185 for Pure Parfum.
