Salute to Steve McQueen
Steve McQueen
The Essence of Cool
You hear it often enough -- who's the Steve McQueen of today? There's really no on exactly appropriate to take up that mantle (although BeansTalk thinks Matt Damon comes a little bit close). BeansTalk attended the premiere of the documentary "Steve McQueen: The Essence of Cool," last night, which will air at 8:30 p.m. on TCM. In attendance were Neile Adams McQueen (his first wife and mother of his children Terry and Chad), Chad McQueen, Walter Mirish, Doris Roberts, Dana Delaney, Christopher McDonald, a way crazy-haired Judd Nelson, and a host of others who attended the event, held at Los Angeles' Petersen Museum at the corner of Fairfax and Wilshire Blvd. (BeansTalk is such an Angeleno, we remember when the location used to be the long-defunct department store Orbachs.)
