Back in the Studio: Journey guitarist Neal Schon, bassist Ross Valory, keyboardist Jonathan Cain, singer Steve Augeri and drummer Deen Castronovo are at the Record Plant recording studio in Sausalito, California working on their 13th studio album. It's their first since 2002's Red 13, a four-song EP and 2001s full-length Arrival album. In recent interviews, Schon hinted at a three to four-hour show of hits, as well as more obscure songs from their entire catalog, from their 1975 self-titled debut the three other pre-Steve Perry albums. Before Journey disbanded in 2001, they produced 12 albums, including eight platinum. The recent incarnation introduces a new generation to the band.
