Madonna's Halo of Hair: Colorist Steven Tapp of Prive Salon in
The Protein Hair “Facial,” was created by Prive Salon stylist Shelee Maeda. The process prep hair for better, longer lasting and more brilliant color results, and serves as a form of pampering.
The treatment begins with a liquid soy-protein base, a type of protein that is closest to the hair’s natural keratin, which is massaged into the hair shaft through the ends. The protein penetrates deep into the hair under a dryer, bonding it to the cortex of the hair shaft. Hair is then rinsed, a moisturizer is massaged into the hair, then steamed for 15 minutes, allowing the protein and moisture to seep into the cortex of the hair, as the cuticle is opened. The final rinse with cool water, closes the cuticle, sealing in the moisture.
Reps say it offers a level of shine, silk like texture and balance equivalent to that of a child’s. In addition to adding a glow, hair will grow faster and stronger. This 30-minute treatment is exclusively at Prive Salons in
