Lacoste + Fred Segal = Lacoste Red! Fred Segal Fun Collection

Lacoste has collaborated with Fred Segal Fun for Fall 2009, unveiling an assortment of menswear items to be sold at Fred Segal.

A slim cut is the rule for the Lacoste Red! Fred Segal Fun Collection - mod, clean and fitted. The line, which debuted on the New York runway for Spring, features a tweaked crocodile label. While the standard label has the croc sitting atop the letters Lacoste, the new segment has the crocodile leading the letters and punctuated with a red exclamation point.

“We are extremely pleased," explains Jackie Brander, owner and head buyer of Fred Segal Fun. "We were able to envision and create new color ways and styles that encapsulate the needs of our ‘hip’ customer as well as keeping with the tradition that Lacoste is known for. Styles include polos, cashmere blend cardigans, and sweater vests.

For the Lacoste Red! Fred Segal Fun Collection, the iconic 100% cotton piqué polo is revamped with a smaller collar, narrower placket with two buttons, an extended tail and contrasted color rib trim. The shirt will be offered in mother of pearl, navy blue, red and a striped navy blue and white. A classic cotton cashmere sweater vest is available in mother of pearl and navy blue. A cardigan sweater in the same fabrication completes the assortment, offered in mother of pearl and navy.

This Fall 2009 collection is now available at Fred Segal Fun and Fred Segal Fun.com. The pieces will also be available on lacoste.com beginning November 2009.
