The Isabella Fiore Warehouse Sale: A Review

I went for the first time (Thursdays warehouse sale, December 2, 2004), encouraged by the posting on bargainsla.com (went with two-time former colleague Karen B.). I LOVE fiore bags and you never see them on sale.

We got there at a few minutes before 10 a.m. and there was a long line around the building. Apparently, there were women who were sitting on a lawn chairs at 6 a.m. AND they actually let many people in earlier than the prescribed 10 a.m. (I'd called ahead).

There were people walking out with HUGE bags and yet, by the time we neared the door with about 40 people ahead of us, women were coming out telling everyone the sale was "horrible" a group of women dubbed it "target" -- well, we drove all the way down there and my friend Karen noted, "what's one person's garbage is another person's treasure."

How TRUE!! having never been there, I didn't have the "OH they have these again kind of reaction." I got two of the same leather and shell bag (SHELL SHOCKED in the large hobo), original retail $385, for $30. Yes, $30. That's a pretty darn nice Xmas gift for another Fiore fan who shall go unmentioned (even though she would never read this newsletter since she doesn't know how to sign onto the internet).

I also got the beautiful embroidered suede patchwork tote, which retailed for about $400 for $50 and 2 pouches for great deals.

Current style "How Suede It Is" was $90, but it's still available and retails for $249! Karen B. was thrilled with her lime green version.

They may have had "better" things in previous sales, but we went away pretty happy. When you don't know what you're missing, it's easier to make lemonade from lemons (to mix metaphors).
