Platinum & Diamonds
for Visiting Royals

Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Catherine Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge were presented with platinum jewelry by Harry Winston while attending a session of Youth Parliament at the Legislative Assembly on July 5, 2011 in Yellowknife, Canada.

Northwest Territories Premier Floyd K. Roland presented the Prince William with a pair of platinum and diamond pave cufflinks modeled on the Government of the Northwest Territories’ official polar bear logo.  The gift to Catherine Middleton was a platinum and diamond pave brooch – also in the shape of the North’s iconic polar bear.

Kate's 4.5 carat platinum and pave diamond brooch, as well as Prince William's 2.48 carat platinum and pave diamond cufflinks, were made by famed jeweler Harry Winston and took 250 hours of labor to make. The brooch is comprised of 302 diamonds and the cufflinks 390, mined in the Northwest Territories and set to resemble native beadwork.
