Duran Duran begins their 45-date North American Tour.

Clear Static, Ima Robot, VHS or Beta and Juliet Confirmed as Tour Openers with more bands to be announced.

The five original members of Duran Duran kicked off their 45-date North American tour at South Florida's Office Depot Center on Friday, February 11, 2005.

Several up-and-coming bands are supporting Duran Duran on their North American tour including Clear Static (February 11th- 20th), Ima Robot (February 25th - March 16th with the exception of Las Vegas on March 13 & 14), VHS or Beta (March 20th - March 29th) and Juliet (March 30th - April 13th). In other Duran Duran news, the band will be placing a celebrity signed soccer ball up for bid on eBay (www.ebay.com/duranduran) from March 7th - 17th with net proceeds going to Global Giving's Tsunami relief efforts.

Band members, all of whom have signed the ball, have been collecting signatures from stars in the entertainment world since last year’s MTV Europe Awards in Rome including Cate Blanchett, Kanye West, Alicia Keys, Maroon 5, Gwen Stefani, Robert Smith (The Cure), Black Eyed Peas, Sharon & Ozzy Osbourne, Naomi Campbell, Andre 3000 (Outkast) and many others.
