LA’s up and coming Silverlake neighborhood welcomes new boutique Related. It didn’t take long for fashion forward Jennifer Heim, a UCLA graduate and
“It’s a home away from home,” says Jenn. I wanted to create a friendly, comfortable environment filled with everything you could possibly want when it comes to fashion and accessories”. Heim who went from salesgirl to buyer in less than four months at LA’s Intuition decided to take her flare for fashion and styling to the next level and open her own store. Jenn has that unique gift for knowing how to cater to everyone, whether you’re looking for the coolest new item, t-shirt jeans, handbags or designer dress. Related is all about going beyond the trends. It’s about comfort, quality, making a good investment for pieces that have a long shelf life. Mostly, it’s about feeling good. “I want my customers to feel good about them” Jenn says. Related will cater to those shopping for a reasonably priced outfit as well as Hollywood A-listers who can afford to break the bank.
Related’S unique décor is a mix of contemporary meets modern industrial. The cement floors and high beam ceilings make for an open and spacious feel while the dark chocolate colored wood fixtures shelve the hottest labels of denim and t-shirts and elaborate candles. Need a little break from trying on all those clothes kick back on the plush love seat or take a stool a the bar where refreshments and snacks will be served.
Related will house everything from denim lines such as True Religion, Taverniti So, Paige Premium, and Joe’s Jeans, Lily McNeal cashmere sweaters and blankets, flip flops, and Frye boots. Jenn mixes tee- shirts with amazing trousers from Santissima and Ya-Ya. Growing up in LA Jenn is inspired by the surf culture so look for lots of comfortable cargo-inspired styles, tank tops and vests, yes they’re back! After all that shopping you can refuel just steps away at some of Silverlake’s most infamous restaurants like Millies, Dusty’s, the Edendale Grill or a little fine dining at Café Stella. Related are just minutes away from the studios and downtown and has complimentary parking.
