Let’s face it, as BeansTalk’s ME, we’re not kidding anyone. We may dress up occasionally for our day job and our blink-and-you-miss-them television appearances, but if we had our druthers, we would wear clothing that very closely resembles nightgowns and pajamas. The bottom line? We’re all about comfort.

That said, we also don’t want to look dumpy. While studying up on Hilary Swank (we just taped a show where we were – ahem – an “industry expert”), a Vanity Fair writer referred to her mother as a “dumpling.” We think that suits us.

As dumpling-ish as we are, we’re still not quite plus size – yet (and we’re hoping not to be). We had the opportunity to sample The Body Wrap Shapewear. In our lifetime (a long one, I promise you), we have tried all kinds of modern variations on the girdle and comfort has always won out (translated, that means we can put it on for about an hour and then excuse ourselves to the loo to remove the binding garments).

We don’t like things that ride up, are too compressing (we’re not a post-lipo patient, afterall), or cut into our waist, legs and other delicate areas.

Thank goodness for The Body Wrap. Our samples were a little too big for us (they were 1x), but the most amazing thing about them is the FABRIC they use. It’s gorgeous quality and, above all, COMFORTABLE. We won’t name names of other fine products, but we can honestly say that The Body Wrap fabric is not like pumped up pantyhose or tights as some shapewear offers.

Seriously, try them out. They offer different types of products and “hold” but their superiority is really based on the fabric.

They are very well-designed – the seams are not binding in anyway. Other products advertise that they’re not, and well, they are. But not The Body Wrap.

We received the Underwire Body Suit, but it was way too big for us. We are a smallish A and roundy. We wish we could refer to ourselves as “lush,” but that just isn’t the case. We’re a simple short and roundy.
