The Avengers

This version with Diana Rigg and Patrick Macnee is the one we remember the most, even though the series actually began the year we were born. Mrs. Peel and John Steed. We have a very distinct memory of the episode where Mr. Peel returns and Mrs. Peel gives up her day job as a martial-arts weilding superhero. It was exciting how Macnee played Mr. Steel, too. We later watched the "Tara" eps, with Linda Thorson, too. Perhaps this marks the continuing affection we have for TV shows from the U.K.
