Feel the Force!
BBC America gets on the case with two accident-prone cops who struggle to keep the city of Edinburgh free of crime. Feel the Force premieres Friday, January 19 at 9:40 p.m. ET/10:40 p.m. PT.
Sally Bobbins (Michelle Gomez, Green Wing) and Sally Frank (Rosie Cavaliero, Spoons) are two uniformed policewomen working the tough streets of Scotland’s capital city. They’re a sort of Scottish Cagney & Lacey for the 21st century, but with worse hairstyles. A sort of Dukes of Hazzard, but with car doors that open.
Their boss, Sergeant Beesley (Leigh Zimmerman, United 93), is a tall and terrifying woman who finds Frank and Bobbins a constant source of irritation. The two Sally’s may have good intentions when it comes to enforcing the law but they’re too easily distracted from their duties to catch any criminals. They’re also rather accident-prone. Add to this Sally Frank’s unrequited love for a fellow officer, Detective MacBean (Jamie Michie), and MacBean’s secret passion for his partner Detective MacGregor (Emun Elliot, Afterlife), and it’s not difficult to see why our heroes have so little time for stamping out crime.
