Clooney and Miracle

This holiday season, AMC gives its viewers George Clooney wrapped in a bow, and no Christmas Eve would be complete without a viewing of the must-see classic, Miracle On 34th Street. The network showers viewers with movie gifts of humor, drama, romance and adventure.

Miracle On 34th Street--AMC Exclusive: Is it possible that the kids are right, and the adults are wrong -- that ole’ Kris Kringle might actually live among us? In other words, is it possible to give in to the magic of Santa Claus? That’s the heart-tugging, completely holiday question at the essence of the definitive holiday classic Miracle On 34th Street, starring Maureen O’Hara, John Payne, Edmund Gwenn and Natalie Wood. This Christmas Eve, give in to AMC’s “34th on the 24th,” a day-long showing of the funny, sweet and so rightfully treasured 1947 favorite, featuring both the black and white and color versions, airing back-to-back beginning at 12noon ET & PT/11C on Sunday, December 24 and ending on Christmas morning. Miracle On 34th Street is preceded by the special Backstory: Miracle On 34th Street airing at 11:30 AM ET & PT/10C.

George Clooney: An American Cinematheque Tribute: George Clooney's talents as a prolific actor, director, writer and producer make him Hollywood's present-day Renaissance man -- and the classic Hollywood star for modern times. George Clooney: An American Cinematheque Tribute, Wednesday, December 13 at 8 PM ET & PT/7 PM C, presents an intimate view of the debonair Clooney, who will be admired -- and royally roasted -- by megastar friends and colleagues with names like Julia Roberts, Matt Damon, Lindsay Lohan, Salma Hayek, Morgan Freeman and Drew Barrymore. The awards show is followed by the AMC premiere of Clooney’s directorial debut, the intriguingly comical, psycho-surrealistic did-he-do-it, Confessions Of A Dangerous Mind, starring Sam Rockwell, Drew Barrymore and Dick Clark at 9 PM ET & PT/8C.
