Young Frankenstein: The Soundtrack

When we were in Seattle in August, this was playing there and we SO wished we could've gone. Now, the original cast recording for The New Mel Brooks Musical Young Frankenstein set for release December 26th on Decca Broadway. Unfolding in the forbidding Castle Frankenstein and the foggy moors of Transylvania Heights, the show's raucous score includes "The Transylvania Mania," "He Vas My Boyfriend" and the unforgettable treatment of Irving Berlin's "Puttin' On the Ritz."

The cast of YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN includes Tony Award® winner Roger Bart ("Desperate Housewives"), Megan Mullally ("Will and Grace"), Tony Award® winner ("Drowsy Chaperone"), Tony Award® winner Sutton FosterShuler Hensley ("Oklahoma"), Tony Award® winner and SCTV's Andrea Martin, Fred Applegate ("The Producers") and Christopher Fitzgerald ("Wicked").

YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN features a book by three-time Tony Award winner Mel Brooks and three-time Tony Award winner Thomas Meehan and music and lyrics by Brooks. Young Frankenstein is directed and choreographed by five-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman. Musical supervision is by Glen Kelly.

Decca Broadway is home to over 100 original cast recordings including SPRING AWAKENING, SPAMALOT (Grammy Award-Winner), WICKED (Grammy Award-Winner), MAMMA MIA!, THE BOY FROM OZ and THE WILD PARTY.
