Subject: Assistance Needed
Once again our country is facing some kind of a disaster. This time in the form of what has been described as a catastrophic hurricane – Ike. I would like to recommend two things.
First, I am asking Eileen to establish a program whereby any contributions that you would like to make over the course of the next week to support Red Cross or other emergency relief programs for those affected by the storm be gathered by Macrovision and that the company will match those contributions dollar for dollar and at the end of next week or the beginning of the week after, that we send those donations to agencies that can put that money to work to help people.
Second, I would like to ask for your prayers. I personally believe that prayer helps and ask that you consider those affected by the storm and ask God to protect the families of not only those in Macrovision that will be affected, but all in the path of the storm, that The Lord minimize the damage and protect and care for the people affected.
