Halloween Ready: TCM

For two weeks in October, TCM’s seven passionate, highly knowledgeable bloggers on the MovieMorlocks.com blog site will pool their resources to focus on two specific topics: favorite movies they’ve recently discovered and, just in time for Halloween, horror movies that scare them the most or that they feel have been unjustly overlooked. Each weeklong blog-a-thon allows the TCM bloggers to write in-depth commentary that stirs up lively debate within the online movie community.

When: Through October 4, 2008, one blogger per day will write about his/her favorite recently discovered movie. Movies discussed in this week’s blog-a-thon will be Portrait of Jennie (1948), starring Joseph Cotten and Jennifer Jones; Call Northside 777 (1948), with James Stewart; The Devil and Daniel Webster (aka All That Money Can Buy) (1941), starring Walter Huston and Edward Arnold; La Ronde (1950), with Simone Signoret; and Here’s Your Life (1966), with Max Von Sydow.

Oct. 25-31, one blogger per day will write about a truly scary movie or a horror movie that has been overlooked. Films to be discussed will be announced later.

About Movie Morlocks: MovieMorlocks.com is the official blog for TCM. No topic is too obscure or niche to be excluded. The seven TCM bloggers welcome comments from the public, who are invited to post messages and engage in discussion.
