Who's Who?

They look alike, act alike, dress alike and even think alike… but just how similar are identical twins? America's Most Identical Twins Test sets out to find the answer in a fascinating and fun competition that compares the Nation’s most identical pairs. The hour-long special premieres on Discovery Health Channel Sunday, March 12, 2006 at 8 p.m. (ET/PT).

The search for America’s most identical twins begins in Twinsburg, Ohio, at the Annual Twins Days Festival, where over 4,000 sets of twins gather yearly to celebrate all that makes them unique to the rest of the world. Hundreds of hopefuls complete a battery of tests, from face mapping to comparisons of taste, mannerisms and movement. Viewers also learn about the fascinating physiological conditions that result in the development of identical twins and the unique physical and mental bond that often develops between these identical pairs.

Putting the hopeful siblings to the test is an expert team uniquely qualified for the task. Olympic gymnasts and identical twins Paul and Morgan Hamm, along with world-renowned twin researchers Dr. Nancy Segal and Dr. Kerry Jang, sort through the hundreds of candidates to select four sets of finalists. The final eight represent a broad range of backgrounds and experiences:

· Diane and Debra are 40-year-old women from New York, who both work as postal managers.
· Sean and Brent are 25-year-old men from Missouri. Sean teaches Spanish and Brent is a certified public accountant.
· Camille and Kennerly are 19-year-old female students from Illinois.
· Ed and Joe are 41-year-old men from New York. Ed is an elevator repairman and Joe is a paramedic instructor.

With our experts watching their every move, our finalists are taken out of the lab and into the real world for a final set of tests that separates the sets of twins and measures their similarities and reactions while shopping, dining and dating. Each test reveals new information that ultimately results in one pair winning the honor of being named America’s Most Identical Twins.
