“The Duke’s” Descendants Gather

Many members of John Wayne’s family -- including Wayne’s daughter-in-law, his grandchildren and his great grandchildren -- attended a recent 50th Anniversary screening of one of the Duke’s most acclaimed films “The Searchers,” celebrating the film’s release on DVD by Warner Home Video. Screening was held at the Samuel Goldwyn Theatre in Beverly Hills, California Friday, June 23, 2006. Family posed in front of a replica of the Monument Valley, Utah location where the movie was shot.
