Just for July 4 Party People

We just bought coordinating patriotic-themed tablecloths for our dining room table, kitchen nook and outdoor under-the-canopy table, to celebrate the Fourth of July. We also got some easy-wash placemats (thank you, Ross on the corner of Sunset Blvd. and La Brea). At any rate, we’re all ready to be festive – decorating wise, that is.

Now here are some recipes from our friends at Kahlua – which we love with some cream when we’re feeling decadent.

RED:

Kahlua Razberi White Russian

2 parts Kahlua

1 part Stoli Razberi Vodka

Add milk or cream.

Pour over ice.

Garnish with raspberries.

WHITE:

Kahlua Vanil White Russian

2 parts Kahlua

1 part Stoli Vanil Vodka

Add milk or cream.

Pour over ice.

Garnish with vanilla beans and mint leaf.

BLUE:

Kahlua Blueberi White Russian

2 parts Kahlua

1 part Stoli Blueberi Vodka

Add milk or cream.

Pour over ice.

Garnish with blueberries.

BBQ:

Kahlua Savory Glaze

½ cup of your favorite BBQ sauce

¼ cup Kahlua Especial

1 minced shallot

1 teaspoon olive oil

Saute shallot in oil for 2 minute. Add BBQ sauce and Kahlua. Simmer for 5 minutes. Use as BBQ glaze on seafood or chicken.
