Simpson to Host Teen Choice

Jessica Simpson will co-host Teen Choice 2006, airing live Sunday, August 20, 2006 at 8 to 10 p.m. (ET live/PT tape-delayed). Her hosting partner for the show will be announced at a later date.

Simpson’s “A Public Affair,” her follow-up to the four-times platinum success of “In This Skin,” debuts Aug. 29. In 2005, Simpson made her film debut as “Daisy Duke” in “The Dukes of Hazzard.” Her next film project, “Employee of the Month,” premieres Sept. 15. At Teen Choice 2006, Simpson is nominated for Choice Movie Breakout Performance for her role in “The Dukes of Hazzard,” Choice Red Carpet Fashion Icon and Choice Hottie.

The Teen Choice surfboard awards feature categories such as Choice Breakout TV Show, Choice Sleazebag, Choice Hissy Fit, Choice Rumble, Choice TV Actress, Choice Rock Track, Choice Grill, Choice Athlete and Choice TV Sidekick.
