We Love These Shirts!

Chicago based Tangerine Promotions, LLC launches its first apparel collection, Materialust. Designed for men and women, the line is sold at high-end boutiques and specialty stores.

Materialust’s collection of t-shirts features rare and exclusively licensed vintage artwork from various countries, cities, and unique destinations across the globe. This is SO a BeansTalk kind of thing.

The artwork appearing on the shirts derives from vintage travel brochures, matchbooks, pamphlets, napkins, and even street graphics. We say, oh so clever.

“Just about everyone has an emotional connection with traveling. Materialust is giving consumers part of that experience by exposing them to some of the most creative vintage travel artwork from around the globe,” says Steve Friedman, CEO of Tangerine Promotions.

For its first release Materialust will be taking its passengers to Paris, Bombay, Tijuana, Las Vegas, and Honolulu. More international destinations are scheduled with each upcoming release, including Tokyo, Havana, Madrid, Cairo, and London to name a few.

Each shirt features a unique hang tag (resembling a vintage airline luggage tag circa 1964) with the airport codes of each destination and a special wash that makes each garment feel like an old souvenir t-shirt from your favorite vacation.

Materialust shirts retail between $50 and $60.

Materialust’s offices are based in Los Angeles where the brand is managed by Steve Friedman and Ben Cornwell. Cornwell is an alumnus of Trunk Ltd; the Culver City, CA-based (whoo! Shout out for BeansTalk's hometown) high-end vintage apparel collection famous for its re-issued rock vintage shirts. Friedman is the CEO of Tangerine Promotions, a promotional merchandise company based in Chicago, IL. www.materialust.com
