Celebrity Sighting at
NYC's Via dei Mille
Canadian recording artist and actor Drake headed to Via dei Mille restaurant with a group of 12 people after his second performance at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Drake is best known for playing character Jimmy Brooks on the television series Degrassi: The Next Generation and has been nominated for several Grammys, two Juno Awards in 2010 for Best New Artist, and Rap Recording of the Year.
Via dei Mille owners Barry Mullineaux and Giuseppe Tuosto kept the restaurant open late just for Drake. The group included Compton, Calif.-native, rapper Tyga ("Coconut Juice"), who opened for Drake and is likely to know something about good food -- he's of Jamaican and Vietnamese descent. The large group arrived at 12:30 a.m. and did not leave the trendy SoHo eatery until after 2 a.m.
