Boys in the Food

Jon Mayer and Jim Stump, hosts of The Feasty Boys Eat America work up a mouthwatering appetite for America’s best local ingredients starting Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at 8 PM (ET/PT). Unapologetically cooking the way they like to eat, Jon and Jim consistently rely on their arsenal of essential ingredients, the Four B’s: Beer, Bacon, Butter, and “Better not forget the cheese.” Nutritionists turn away, and viewers get ready - and hungry - as The Feasty Boys serve up a full course meal of down-home, finger-licking, lip smacking, no frills, hold-the-cloth-napkin, hearty fare.

Criss-crossing the United States guided by their stomachs, taste buds, and passion for discovering the unique ingredients each American locale proudly boasts Jim and Jon discover that a love for delicious, authentic cooking extends out of the city limits and across every stateline. Every Wednesday through February 13 at 8 PM (ET/PT) on the Travel Channel, the guys explore each destination, meet the locals, and catch, harvest, pick, and slice each region’s specialty ingredient before using it to cook up their own, one-of-a-kind “Feastified” dish.

Along the way, Jon and Jim’s route includes stops at: southern New Mexico for a lesson on the countless varieties of chiles; west to Arizona to enter the world of ostrich ranching; and north to Green Bay, Wisconsin to brave the elements for a winter tailgating session at historic Lambeau Field during a Packers’ game. Avoiding anything hoity-toity or stuffy, the guys discover the true local flavor of every destination they visit…and then wash it down with a cold brew.
