The Dandy Warhols

Dandy Warhols Tour

The Dandy Warhols have announced a promotional "Suitcase Tour" in which they'll play electric sets at radio stations in five markets using only the instruments that fit into a single suitcase (besides their guitars) during the day. And at night will throw free parties at local clubs in honor of their fifth album, Odditorium or Warlords of Mars, out September 13, 2005.

The band will also perform for the first time at CBGB's, paying their respects to the endangered NYC club during the CMJ Music Marathon in September. A full U.S. tour will kick off in November, details to come.

Odditorium or Warlords of Mars, named after the band's infamous Portland studio headquarters, is full of the band's trademark heady mix of seamless rock hooks and sonic experimentalism, spanning turned-on drone rock, country blues, electronic pop and deep psychedelia - all spun through the Dandys' kaleidoscopic musical palette.

The band recently headlined a stage at Lollapalooza, held in Chicago's Grant Park, where they reunited onstage with their Dig! co-stars Brian Jonestown Massacre for an extended medley of songs.

They'll perform lead single "Smoke It" on Live with Regis and Kelly on September 13th, the album's street date.
