Too Faced Lip Injection
Jerrod Blandino, a young makeup artist working behind the counter at Saks Fifth Avenue, couldn't find the exciting shades, rich pigments, and silky textures he desperately wanted for his clients (some of which were of the A-list celebrity variety). Blandino began to create the products himself, mixing and melting colors at home after work, and delivering his custom concoctions (in paper cups) to clients the next day. He may have left his kitchen a complete mess – and his microwave non-functioning, but Blandino was motivated to begin Too Faced.
Too Faced’s philosophy: "Why be pretty when you can be gorgeous?"
Celebs Who are “Too Faced”
Naomi Judd
Judd met Blandino six years ago and "loves the packaging, and quality, I'm addicted to it." She said she wanted to rep the line, too. Judd actually sends Blandino audio tapes of what she thinks and likes, such as the pigment lipstick: "it's very "old school makeup." Likes the Pinky Pout collection, thinks its "the best of the best." She and Blandino have even talked “shop” over lunch at the legendary Ivy restaurant on
Winona Judd
The younger Judd had her assistant call Blandino from their private plane. Judd needed multiple pieces of Fat Kiss lip gloss, shadows and liners, as well as Absolutely Flawless face compacts.
Gwen Stefani
Blandino’s proud of his personal “thank-you letter” from Stefani. For her last album, Spring 05, Stefani had "Ruby Rocks" red -colored juicy jewels lip glosses sent. She always asks for: "Ooh & Ahh" and "George & Weezie" eyeshadows, as well as liquid lava matte eyeliner in black. Stefani is also a big fan of “Electric Lash” Glitter Mascara in the brown color “Jolt.”
