Too Faced Lip Injection

Hollywood’s So Too Faced!

Jerrod Blandino, a young makeup artist working behind the counter at Saks Fifth Avenue, couldn't find the exciting shades, rich pigments, and silky textures he desperately wanted for his clients (some of which were of the A-list celebrity variety). Blandino began to create the products himself, mixing and melting colors at home after work, and delivering his custom concoctions (in paper cups) to clients the next day. He may have left his kitchen a complete mess – and his microwave non-functioning, but Blandino was motivated to begin Too Faced.

Too Faced’s philosophy: "Why be pretty when you can be gorgeous?"

Celebs Who are “Too Faced”

Naomi Judd
Judd met Blandino six years ago and "loves the packaging, and quality, I'm addicted to it." She said she wanted to rep the line, too. Judd actually sends Blandino audio tapes of what she thinks and likes, such as the pigment lipstick: "it's very "old school makeup." Likes the Pinky Pout collection, thinks its "the best of the best." She and Blandino have even talked “shop” over lunch at the legendary Ivy restaurant on Robertson Blvd.

Winona Judd
The younger Judd had her assistant call Blandino from their private plane. Judd needed multiple pieces of Fat Kiss lip gloss, shadows and liners, as well as Absolutely Flawless face compacts.

Gwen Stefani
Blandino’s proud of his personal “thank-you letter” from Stefani. For her last album, Spring 05, Stefani had "Ruby Rocks" red -colored juicy jewels lip glosses sent. She always asks for: "Ooh & Ahh" and "George & Weezie" eyeshadows, as well as liquid lava matte eyeliner in black. Stefani is also a big fan of “Electric Lash” Glitter Mascara in the brown color “Jolt.”

Cher
Unlike many of her Hollywood counterparts, Cher doesn't accept freebies. She loves Kitty Glitters, and Electric Lash Mascara in the black color Static. Cher buys Too Faced at Planet Blue in Malibu. She also uses the Lip Injection in Buff, the loose powder “After Glow” and Liquif-Eye.

Paris Hilton
Hilton shopped at Planet Blue in Malibu and purchased all of Too Faced pink colors for her sister Nicky Hilton’s August 2004 Vegas wedding. Hilton, who refused any freebies, uses the pink Techno Kiss Lip Injection.

Britney Spears
Spears was leaving Las Vegas the day after her January 2004 marriage to childhood pal Jason Alexander. She told the flight attendant of the private jet that she had no makeup to wear to meet the paparazzi when she landed. The stewardess gave her Too Faced makeup. The next day the flight attendant called Too Faced offices in California and gave Blandino Spears' address -- at her request, of course -- to have more makeup sent. She now uses Faux Fur Mascara and pressed "lust" powder.

Kelly Ripa
Backstage at "Live with Regis and Kelly" in New York, Blandino gave Ripa "Fat Daiquiri" lip gloss in summer of 2005. Also, at live taping in 2005 at Disneyland, Ripa told the udience her absolute favorite lip product is "Too Faced Fat Kiss in Fat Jelly" (sheer berry tint).

Pam Anderson
Anderson, like Cher, buys her Too Faced products at Planet Blue in Malibu. The head makeup artist for "Stacked" had most of product line sent over. Anderson's favorites are: Peek-A-Boo original lip injection (Blandino says Anderson inspired him to make it), Park Avenue Princess Quad, Chocolate Diamond Gloss, Fat Candy gloss and Fat Honey gloss.
