Chu Chooses Accessories
Nikki Chu has created an accessories line for the modern woman, which she characterizes as: Fashionable. Professional. Fabulous.
Since kicking off the launch of her brand by winning the “Best in Show” award at the WWD Accessories Show at Magic, in Las Vegas, Chu’s line features handbags to laptop bags, jewelry to sunglasses, Chu’s background in interior and graphic design helped her develop the line, designed for weekday or weekend.
The Nikki Chu accessories line will officially be available to consumers in June 2007. Her products feature a signature hot pink lining and the classic “C” logo. Chu has done interior decorating for celebrities including Gabrielle Union and Tyra Banks, and has worked with brands like NIKE to create signature pieces, worn by Hilary Duff and Mischa Barton.
BeansTalk's Take: This line seems right in time for Posh Spice (aka Victoria Beckham) and her descent (or ascent?) into Los Angeles. It appears to combine urban flash and both Italian styling as well as the linear designs of that famous French designer with the initials LV. In short, the line seems very versatile (we're accessing from photos, not actual use) and would probably make a nice pop of trend for those who are more understated in their dress.
