GBK Productions Hosts MTV Movie Awards Gift Suite
Suite Features Celebrity Poker Tournament, Family Friendly Gift Room and over 40 Exclusive Products
Gavin Keilly, founder of GBK Productions, hosted a very special gift suite to celebrate the 2007 MTV Movie Awards nominees and presenters last weekend at LA’s posh Hotel Sofitel. In addition to offering great gifts and spa services, GBK Productions catered to diverse tastes, with a poker tournament and a “family friendly” baby product room.
GBK’s gift suites are always unique in their wide range of gifts as well as thier strong commitment to offering numerous ways for celebrities to give back and help the charities of their choice. As always, 20% of the profits from the gift suite and one of the $50,000 gift bags were donated to charities to use as they see fit. This year, GBK selected Jane Kaczmarek’s and Bradley Whitford’s Clothes Off Our Backs, Kevin Bacon’s Six Degrees, Project Angel Food, and The Creative Coalition. Additionally, celebrities were offered the chance to travel with I-to-I Travel, a travel agency that offers volunteer opportunities all over the world. Keilly has said, “My main goal for these non-profits is to give them the opportunity to meet as many celebrities as possible, to potentially get them involved in their causes.”
GBK Productions, in association with the World Poker Tournament Enterprises, hosted a celebrity poker tournament on the opening night of the suite. Each participating celebrity received a $25,000 buy-in to the next World Poker Tour Celebrity Invitational, and a $10,000 donation to the charity of his or her choice. Poker tournament winner Jorge Garcia won a $10,000 Lex Diamond watch, and runner up Shannon Elizabeth won a Pro Sun Tanning System which she can apparently install right in her shower. BeansTalk has learned that Garcia was ecstatic about his win.
GBK offered celebrities walking through the suite their own GBK Productions gift bag, which were filled with over 40 exclusive gifts consisting of lavish luxury products and services, fashion apparel, spa treatments, as well as an array of high-end health and beauty products valued at over $50,000. Guests will be able to choose from a month of gaming lessons from Executive Gaming; 10 hours of concierge services from Dream Weaver Concierge; a certificate for a green furniture from Robert Craymer; watches from Gadget Universe; BPNC alcohol; Laser Eye Surgery from Dougherty Laser Vision; a consultation for a personal water wall from LL Innovation/Liquid Wall; beaded switch plate covers from Turn It On Designs; and an unlimited food-supply from Sky’s Gourmet Tacos.
Health & beauty products included: Dare Devil Energy Drink; Power Crunch energy bars; a lifetime supply of Kiwi Berri frozen yogurt; Hoodia Dex L-10’s weight loss supplements; and the book Magic Refrigerator; Sumbody’s bath salts and soaps; Barbar’s blow dryers and curling irons; Revitalash; Lano Co.’s lip gloss; Mood-Factory’s mood-triggered lamp; Je Beau’s hair treatments; American Laser Center’s certificate for hair removal.
The GBK Gift Suite also featured themed rooms with specialty gifts. Themes included the Fashion room; the summer room; and the Baby room. The Fashion room will include apparel from hello! Skinny Jeans; FP Jeans; Brokendown Clothing; Rosa Loves; Catch-E Designs; Don’t Tread on Me; Sun Soul; Too Cute; and Bling It On.
Attendees visiting the Summer room received Rebel Boards’ surf and body boards, Sun Soul Inc.’s products that have a patent-pending technology that converts broad spectrum sunlight to a narrow spectral range. The Baby room will be an area where celebrities and their families can enjoy the suite together. Staffed with a licensed care-taker, the Baby room will be offering child-friendly art activities, as well as fashions from Duck Duck Goose; Baby Legs; Sophie Catalou; and Low Down Dirty Words, a book for parents to share with their kids.
