The Adored

The Adored plays Pianos, April 29, 2005 at 11 p.m. The LA Times, in their Buzz Band section, said "What's not to adore about the L.A. quartet The Adored? Not much, unless you're a little too snobbish to cut loose and embrace the visceral pleasures of roughhewn pop songs." The LA Weekly heralded The Adored as its Music Pick of the Week for New Year’s Eve, saying, "their self-titled five-song EP acquires a momentum that's more crisp, shiny and hip-swivelingly addictive than it has a right to be"

"The Adored are beyond the zeitgeist while seeming hopelessly of it."
"The Adored can definitely be filed in the cool folder.....injected with catchy melodies and full of fat punchy guitars"-BabySue.com
"Wired discopunk "- NME
"Southern California's discopunkers"- Filter
"A style that flavors some of their old favs The Clash, Buzzcocks, The Jam and Blur on tons of speed"
- crashinin.com
"Style, swagger ... a sound that's both fresh and familiar... prancey, dancey Buzzcocksesque pop slop"
- LA Weekly
"Energetic neo-garagistes" - FlavorPill.net
