Platinum iPods Raise $ For Charity

Combine the coveted iPod Nano with celebrities, signatures and charity, and you have the Platinum Guild’s iPod auctions for Clothes Off Our Back.

BeansTalk had the opportunity to see the celebrity-signed iPods at the Platinum Guild’s Emmy Preview Lounge. Platinum Guild International USA purchased the iPods, engraved with the Platinum logo in the back. Most people don't know that there is actually platinum in iPods. The iPods were signed by celebs who also added their favorite artists’ names.

The Platinum iPod Nanos were part of the Clothes Off Our Back Foundation's fifth annual Emmy charity auction. COOB collected clothing and accessories from the Creative and Primetime Emmy Awards, Teen Choice Awards, costumes from TV shows and other Hollywood events to raise money for charity. The auction also featured items from the TV Academy/BAFTA auction and from Mariska Hargitay and Natalie Portman. They sold more than 200 items which raised over $130,000 for charity.

Below are the final auction results from the Platinum Guild Emmy Suite Clothes Off Our Back Ebay auction items:
