Get Bejeweled by Susan Fixel: The celebs (like Britney Spears, Jessica Alba, Rene Rousso, Hilary Duff, Sheryl Crow, Elizabeth Rohm, Dolly Parton, Courtney Cox-Arquette and more) do. Fixel, 50, started designing from her home (inspired by a way to transfer the sparkly prettiness of Chopard jeweled watches into clothing).
Her signature tank tops can be ladened with pop-culture tattoo art designs enhanced with Swarovski crystals. ''It's like wearing jewelry,'' she has said of her clothing. ''All my clothes are about looking good and feeling good,'' she explains. ``And they all make you feel great when you put them on.''
In 1979, acting as the line’s designer, she and her husband founded the Miami-based Softouch. After the couple sold the business, she continued design consulting for fitness wear.
Her initial Bejeweled designs were done by her own hand. She’s expanded into having a staff now, but the clothing’s still handmade. Oh, and very hot.
