New Skin Care and Cosmetic Line Introduces Idebenone

BeansTalk recently attended a one-on-one meeting (well, a two-on-three, since the presentation was to BeansTalk and fellow co-worker Maureen Harrington) with the creators of True Skin Care products and Cosmetics, products which can be found at some of the top spas. Most of the products include the new anti-aging ingredient that True is introducing to the industry, “idebenone.” The True edict is: stop restart reclaim improve believe.

Idebenone is a new multifunctional compound that behaves like the well-known antioxidant Co-Enzyme Q10 and the potent depigmenting agent hydroquinone. True believes it’s more effective than either— without the skin sensitizing action common to many results-driven ingredients. True claims that unlike most effective de-agers, Idebenone is gentle enough for almost any skin. Unlike alpha hydroxy acids and retinoids, Idebenone works without any signs of irritation or additional sun or environmental vulnerability.Idebenone delivers super antioxidant protection and anti-inflammatory action that impedes skin’s free radical free-for-all. Counteracting environmental aging at its source, it helps skin relax and return to a younger-looking self Smoother, brighter and unstressed. Fight aging from this day forward and from this day backward by helping reduce the visible signs of aging and prevent them too. Posted by Hello

True Cosmetics: Their mineral-based makeup line also includes idebenone. 100% of proceeds from their Altruistic Satin Lip Shine are donated to the American Skin Cancer Foundation. The True Protective Collection delivers skin protection along with anti-aging benefits with Idebenone. Formulas are rich in supporting antioxidants of Vitamin E, and Green Tea plus a natural SPF17 from Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide.

BeansTalk friends Fifi and Romeo, who pioneered the “Canine Couture” movement (think Bruiser in the original and sequel to “Legally Blonde”) have now extended their fashions for women and babies! They also have a stunning cashmere line. It’s a natural progression for the fashion- forward company.

Fifi and Romeo

BeansTalk was once gifted by owner Yana with the most incredible soft pink cashmere sweater that is an absolute favorite, so we can vouch for their designs, in style and quality. It’s about time Yana brought her fashion for women to the forefront. BeansTalk also has one of her one-of-a-kind earring designs gracing the rearview mirror of our car!

Fifi and Romeo now carries women’s clothing, baby clothing and a line of gorgeous cashmere items (even Oprah’s jumped on the Fifi and Romeo bandwagon and put them on her “hot list.” Oprah loves the patchwork cashmere blanket that measures 4’ x 6’ and retails for $1375.).

America’s Next Top Model Cycle 4 announced their winner last night, Naima, a 20-year-old waitress from Michigan. Throughout the season, the aspiring models were outfitted with several designs from Pure, including Kiki Stash, Nataya, Szulika, and Jelessy.

In Episode 3, the girls were asked to pose with a bouquet of flowers while holding several dogs, and three of the girls were photographed in Kiki Stash designs, including winner Naima, who wore a purple top and plaid mini by the “coquette couture” designer (seen in photo above).

Contestants also often wore Jelessy trucker hats. The UPN series, going on its fifth season, was created by Tyra Banks and features celebrity judges including Janice Dickinson. Spirited Art

It’s got to be tongue-in-cheek when visitors to artist Michael Godard (dubbed “The Naughty Artist”) are confronted with the edict: “Do Not Drink and Draw.”

Godard, whose pieces are owned by members of Motley Crue and California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has developed a strong following for his spirit (as in alcoholic beverages)-related artwork. The above image has already been sold out, but visit www.michaelgodard.com for his latest. Godard’s appeared on MTV, ABC, NBC, KOCE, KCET, Evening Magazine and the Discovery Channel and has had over a dozen art shows this year and was featured in the New York Times.

He was commissioned by the double-platinum rock band Dishwalla to do the cover art for their third album, “Opaline” and was also the first California artists commissioned to paint a life-size-cow, as part of the New York and ChicagoCows on Parade,” which has appeared on the Today Show and Oprah. He sells more than 4,000 limited edition prints a month and his art can be seen in more than 500 galleries around the world and he currently has multiple signature galleries throughout the United States. A film on Godard’s life, “Behind the Artist,” won the Grand Jury Award for Best Documentary at the New York International Independent Film Festival.
