Terri Irwin's obviously inconsolable grief at the memorial was all the more poignant because her brave poise it seemed to this viewer as obvious concern for the emotional state of Bindi and Bob as though Mummy wouldn't want them to see how profoundly upset she was -- provided some of the most powerful moments of the memorial service held 20 September 2006.

Look at the touching way Bindi is holding and looking at her mother in the image, left. It's completely heartbreaking. Loss of a beloved is always a tragedy for the family and friends, but when it's someone like Steve Irwin, who impacted the world with his message of conservation and wildlife preservation, everyone grieves.
