TLC’s Little People, Big World Returns

All-new Episodes Capture the Continued Story of the Roloff Family

The Learning Channel will premiere the second season of its acclaimed hit documentary series Little People, Big World on Saturday, October 7 at 8:00PM ET/PT. In twenty-two all-new 30-minute episodes, including a double-episode Thanksgiving special, TLC follows the ongoing story of the extraordinary Roloff family – a family comprised of both little and average height people. In the series, little people parents Matt and Amy and their three average height children – Jeremy, Molly and Jacob – and little person son Zach open their home to help make the most in-depth television documentation of the lives of little people.

Each week, TLC presents two back-to-back premiere episodes of the series. In its first season, over 1.3 million viewers* tuned in each week to Little People, Big World in its regular Saturday timeslot. The phenomenon continued as the season finale was watched by over 3.2 million viewers.* A TLC.com chat with Matt and Zach garnered the largest response in TLC history.

In the second season, the Roloffs spend their summer on and off Roloff Farms and experience life in the “big world,” including a family vacation to Hawaii, a trip to the Little People of America national conference and Dwarf Athletic Association of America games in Milwaukee, Wis., and a business trip to New York, among other destinations. In addition, viewers will see the Roloffs as they interact with friends and family not featured in the first season, including mom Amy’s average-sized parents and siblings, dad Matt’s little person brother Sam and more.

In the premiere episode on Saturday, October 7 at 8:00PM ET/PT, Matt and Amy take twins Zach and Jeremy and their friends for a beach weekend to celebrate their 16th birthdays. While there, Matt and Amy must contend with son Jacob’s rebellious streak. In the night’s second premiere, Saturday, October 7 at 8:30PM ET/PT, Matt gambles on giving Amy a Mother’s Day present he knows might get him in trouble: the gift of an expert team to organize her house.

Additional highlighted episodes include:
“Roloffs in Paradise” (Premiere Date: October 14, 2006)
The Roloffs hit the sand and surf in Maui for the family vacation of a lifetime. Zach must overcome his fears before he tries to surf, and Amy struggles to relax and let go.

“A Little Thanksgiving Parts 1 and 2” (Premiere Date: November 18, 2006)
A Roloff family milestone takes shape as both Matt and Amy’s families come together for a 25+ strong Thanksgiving to remember. With everyone together for the first time since Matt and Amy’s wedding, Matt has a special table built to accommodate all the guests.

“TLC viewers tell us this series is inspiring, hopeful and tender, qualities that are seldom seen on television,” said David Abraham, executive vice president and general manager, TLC. “We are proud to bring Little People, Big World back for a second season.”

The Little People, Big World experience continues online at TLC.com, where users can view 12 exclusive webisodes of “Matt’s Chats,” discussions between Matt Roloff and the people who inspire him. In addition, site visitors can play all-new games, including Roloff family puzzles and quizzes, as well as a Roloff Farms match game, participate in weekly polls and join discussions with other fans of the show and, on occasion, even the Roloffs themselves.
