These Times They Are a Changin': Early, classic Bob Dylan. On DVD.

Bob Dylan World Tours 1966-1974: Through the Camera of Barry Feinstein ($14.95) will be available on DVD on March 8, 2005 through Music Video Distributors. Dylan and The Band's legendary 1966 and 1974 World Tours. In this documentary feature film, Feinstein and director Joel Gilbert chronicle these epic Bob Dylan tours, featuring over 150 selections of Feinstein's finest portraits - most revealed for the first time - in this extraordinary document of Bob Dylan and rock music history.

For the years in between, Gilbert visits Woodstock and Greenwich Village, New York, where he investigates Dylan's secluded life before his return to the road in 1974. Gilbert recreates the singer-songwriter's 1966 motorcycle accident, pays a visit to Big Pink, examines Dylan's first encounter with The Beatles, and even confronts fanatic Dylanologist A.J. Weberman. Interviews with filmmaker D.A. Pennebaker, rock journalism godfather Al Aronowitz, Band drummer Mickey Jones and surprise guests help reveal Bob Dylan's hidden history behind Feinstein's astonishing images.

PHOTO GALLERIES: Over 150 Exclusive and Unreleased Bob Dylan 1963, 1966, 1971, and 1974 Tour Photos by rock photographer Barry Feinstein.

BONUS INTERVIEWS: with Izzy Young and Bruce Langhorne and others who never spoke about Dylan.

SOUNDTRACK: Background music performed by Highway 61 Revisited, the world's only Bob Dylan tribute band.

Lauding Lauderdale: Jim Lauderdale’s music is a mix of country music, rockabilly, bluegrass, folk, pop and soul, but based on the country music he had grown up with - George Jones, Merle Haggard and Johnny Cash. He once described what inspires his work in an interview with Artist Direct: "Country music is timeless, and it transcends musical boundaries in a way. Its memorable moments. Its emotions, realizations ... the things that tie everybody together. But country has a definite sound: lonesome, life-affirming, strong, on the brink, tragic, beautiful and hopeful - often all at once." Jim Lauderdale: In Concert Ohne Filter is available on DVD.

Tracklist from Ohne Filter Studios in Baden-Baden Germany on May 16th, 1998:

Juiced Up: Rebecca Gayheart, Shannon Elizabeth, Marlee Matlin, Jonathan Silverman, David Alan Grier, Blair Underwood and Marisa Jaret Winokur (who actually told BeansTalk she was the most excited about this juicer, of all the gifts at the Silver Spoon) were among the many celebs who received the Jack La Lanne’'s Power Juicer by Princess at the Silver Spoon Buffet pre-Golden Globes. Reps were actually making and serving juice which was surprisingly yummy and not bitter in anyway.

Features:
Extra-large feeder lets you use the whole fruit, even the skin
Special patented Extraction technology gives you up to 30% more juice than other juicers using the same amount of fruit
Super-sized detachable pulp container
Surgical-quality stainless steel blade
Built-in safety features
Whisper-quiet 3600 RPM motor with lifetime warranty, and ¼ horsepower motor (250 watts)
Weighs 15.5 pounds
250 watts
Dishwasher safe
Jack LaLanne's Secrets of Power Juicing and Recipes for Healthy Living
Model No. JLPJ

The Jack LaLanne Power Juicer has a patented extraction technology, so users get 30% more juice then a regular juicer using the same amount of fruit. With the Jack LaLanne Power Juicer the pulp is dry, no waste, and more nutrients. The extra large chute allows fruits and vegetables to go in easily -- we watched as a whole quarter of pineapple (rind and all) was put into the juicer, and still produced delicious juice. The super-sized pulp catcher means nothing is wasted.

Here's a bonus: The natural fiber and nutrients from the pulp can be made into salsas, zucchini and carrot loaves, and pasta sauces.

With Little Warning: The staff of BeansTalk attended a screening at the IMAX Theater Thursday evening: "Forces of Nature."

The film is notably relevant, not only for it's amazing large-format impact, but in the light of the recent horrific tsunami tragedy -- just a little reminder of what nature's capable of.

"Forces" has been showing in IMAX theaters throughout the U.S. and Canada, since its original 2004 June release.

Synopsis: It is one thing to contemplate the immense power of nature, another to experience these forces first-hand. "Forces of Nature" showcases the awesome spectacle of earthquakes, volcanoes, and severe storms as we follow scientists on their groundbreaking quests to understand how these natural disasters are triggered. Audiences will learn what is being done to predict and prepare for these events -- and minimize their deadly effects -- as they come face-to-face with Earth's most destructive forces. "Forces of Nature” is a National Geographic film, produced by Graphic Films, made possible by Amica Insurance and funded in part by the National Science Foundation. Combined with a strong package of educational materials and ancillary programs, this film promises to entertain and educate audiences worldswide. "Forces of Nature" is distributed by Destination Cinema, Inc.

You Saw It Here First: Hollywood's Underlying Tricks: The secret's out. How do celebs so effortlessly wear those glamorous backless, strapless, low-cut fashions? The NuBra and Hollywood Fashion Tape, which prevent "“oops"” moments , much as the already classic, much-discussed Tara Reid full-boob-reveal- moment a few weeks ago.

The new NuBra Aphrodite (by Bragel, and pictured above) with crystal will be introduced at the end of this month during the Lingerie show in Paris, January 28 through 31, 2005 at Hall 1 -Paris Expo at the Porte de Versailles (Bragel's also putting on a series of fashion shows, one for each day: Day 1 - models will be in jeans & denim wearing the Aphrodite series, Day 2 - models will be in suits wearing the Aphrodite series, Day 3 - Models will dress casually, wearing the Aphrodite series, Day 4 - Models will be in low-cut kimonos wearing the Aphrodite series). The Aphrodite series is the newest version of the Feather Lite and features a series of lace bras and crystal adorned bras in a variety of different colors

You’re seeing the Aphrodite image first here on BeansTalk.

Another Way to Go Undercover: Hollywood Fashion Tape has been dubbed the ‘seamstress in a box.” Even with the finest quality clothing, blouses still gap, bra straps slip, hems fall, and necklines may reveal too much. The solution: Hollywood Fashion Tape. The clear, double-stick, "does everything" apparel and body tape. It’s said that’s what Jennifer Lopez wore when she donned that iconic green cut-to-there, up-to-there Versace dress. Forget safety pins. Hollywood Fashion Tape’s specially formulated adhesive is gentle on skin, hypoallergenic and leaves no residue on fabrics. Clear tape doesn’t cover up the skin’s natural color. Peel the backing from one side of the tape, press the tape firmly to your skin or fabric, remove the other backing, and apply the item to be secured.

Taxicab Confessors: Joe (left) and Harry Gantz, the producer-brothers behind the popular HBO series.

"Taxicab Confessions" returns to the streets of New York City for the first time after an eight-year hiatus. Taxicab Confessions: New York, New York records more intimate nocturnal conversations with actual taxicab passengers- chronicling a disparate group of revelers, fetishists, romantics and lonely hearts as they spill their innermost secrets to anonymous cab drivers. Starts Saturday, February 5, 2005 at 10:15 p.m. on HBO.

Producers Joe and Harry Gantz spent several months on the streets of New York following their ingeniously equipped cab for Taxicab Confessions: New York, New York. None of the passengers were aware that their conversations were being captured with hidden lipstick cameras and microphones until after the ride was over. As a result, their conversations are -- as always -- genuine, relaxed and totally candid.

After filming the first three "Taxicab Confessions" in New York City (January 1995, December 1995 and August 1996), producers Joe and Harry Gantz moved to Las Vegas for six more specials (October 1997, July 1998, November 1999, July 2000, March 2001, March 2002 and Jan. 2003). With the renewed blessing of Mayor Bloomberg's Office of Film, Theatre & Broadcasting, the producers returned to NYC in 2004, enlisting a veteran group of cabbies to share driving duties – and elicit candid conversation - in a specially rigged yellow cab.

LaToya On Life

This Friday, January 21, 2005, La Toya Jackson (seen here at September, 2004's World Music Awards) will be interviewed on ABC's 20/20. She’ll discuss her abusive marriage, her divorce, and how she moved on. She’ll talk about growing up a Jackson, her renewed career interests and her relationship with her controversial brother Michael.

La Toya Jackson is back in the studio finishing up her new album after releasing the first single under a pseudo name - ‘Toy.’ The album, called “Startin' Over,” is based on her family life, an abusive marriage and putting it all behind her to start over.

On why she released the single under the name “Toy”: "Unfortunately my name brings preconceived judgments associated with my family or my past and I wanted to know me as I am and have always been and not the media personification me. I wanted people to judge the song on its merit, not on tabloid headlines. I couldn’t be more thrilled with the results so far and am looking forward to getting back in the studio to finish recording the album.”" For more information on La Toya Jackson go to: www.latoyaonline.com or www.jatail.com

Musical Comedy Legend Dies

Virginia Mayo. One of BeansTalk's favorite actresses (we have many fond childhood memories of this former Goldwyn girl), has died at 84 (on Sunday, January 16, 2005). The Los Angeles Times website reports she died of heart failure and pneumonia, at a nursing home near her Thousand Oaks, Calif. home. Mayo, a St. Louis, MO native, was probably best known for her musical-comedy roles opposite Danny Kaye: The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Up in Arms (she had very small non-speaking role as a gorgeous Goldwyn Girl), A Song is Born (a remake of Ball of Fire; both directed by Howard Hawks), The Kid From Brooklyn. She was leading lady to Paul Newman, Gregory Peck, Bob Hope, James Cagney, Joel McCrea, Alan Ladd, Rex Harrison, Kirk Douglas and Burt Lancaster, among others (even Ronald Reagan). www.virginiamayo.com Posted by Hello

Pre-Globe Prep (And Globe Evening Fashion)

(Please see comprehensive Globe fashion coverage below)

Pre-Globe Prep

Sisters Joely (seen above, at the Globes, carrying a Judith Leiber bag) and Natasha Richardson got in quality time together the day before the Globes, having their nails done at home. Joely used Orly's Kiss the Bride, a milky opaque shade, to complement her white dress.

Naomi Watts relaxed by having a manicurist come to her home to give her a mani-pedi on the day of the event, choosing Orly's new "9 to 5" shade, a sheer blush tone, on her fingers and toes.

Minnie Driver also had a manicurist come to her home, and she got inventive--layering Orly's Honeymoon in Style, a sparkly sheer pink over Orly's Sheer Buff. She was such a fan of the company's Sheer Radiance lotion in Fresh that she requested a few bottles for herself and her makeup artist.

Regina King had her manicure done at home the day before the big night, using Orly's Honeymoon in Style, a sparkly sheer pink, over Orly's Skinny Dip, a French manicure shade. Posted by Hello

Monarch of the Glen on BBC America.

Monarch Of The Glen Hogmanay Special (U.S. premiere) New Year comes to the Scottish Highlands and a new era dawns at Glenbogle in the Monarch of the Glen Hogmanay Special. The future of the estate hangs in the balance as Archie’s half-brother, Paul (Lloyd Owen, Hearts & Bones), decides whether to become Glenbogle’s new laird. As the house prepares for its annual New Year party, known in Scotland as Hogmanay, Golly (Alexander Morton, Second Sight) manages to scare everyone witless with tales of ‘Mad Malcolm’ – a ghost that haunts the house at this time of year. Paul is skeptical about the existence of ghosts until the contents of a mysterious chest cause him to dream of his great-grandfather, Bertie. He investigates the family records and learns that Bertie was killed in the Boer War. His apparitions become more vivid and he is transported to the past where he must confront the ghost of his dead ancestor, and lay him to rest. Despite this connection with his heritage, Paul is finding it increasingly difficult to make a home for himself at Glenbogle. When he learns that Archie plans to hand the reins over to him when he leaves for New York, he can’t accept it. Molly is also unwilling to believe that Archie (Alastair Mackenzie) will no longer be laird and Lexie (Dawn Steele, Tinsel Town) is left wondering what to do. Monarch of the Glen Hogmanay Special premieres Saturday, February 19, 2005 at 6 p.m. ET, 3 p.m. PT.

Monarch Of The Glen (U.S. premiere): (New Season) With a new laird, surprise visitors, secret romances, and hidden pasts – change is in the air at Glenbogle in a U.S. premiere season of Monarch of the Glen. As the estate’s new laird, Paul wants to make his mark by attempting to modernize the estate. While his intentions are honorable, his dismissive attitude towards the estate’s long-held traditions causes him to clash with Golly. When Lexie makes an unexpected return from New Zealand, Paul suspects that all is not well with her and her new life. A heart-to-heart reveals her doubts about leaving the estate. Their relationship begins to grow more intimate and they are forced to make a decision that may rock Glenbogle to its very foundations. Tom Baker (Dr. Who) joins the cast as Hector’s long-lost younger brother and black sheep of the MacDonald family, Donald. He returns to Glenbogle after a 40-year absence, but his homecoming receives a mixed reaction. Unpredictable, incorrigible and ill-behaved, he causes mayhem from the moment he arrives. Monarch of the Glen premieres Saturday, February 26, 2005 at 6 p.m. ET, 3 p.m. PT.
