Introducing: Beanstalk's Hollywood Hot Weekly Treatment Tip

Beanstalk's Hollywood Hot Weekly Treatment Tip:

Ah, we look like a hair-color ad. Shine, shine, shine. You gotta wear shades to look at us. BeansTalk had the surprisingly quick - and wonderfully effective I.S.H. (Incredibly Silky Hair) treatment, courtesy of I.S.H. founder, Nelson Chan, who works out of the Estetica salon in Beverly Hills. Chan, a reknown colorist (he’s championed the locks of Heather Graham and Sarah Michelle Gellar), explains that the treatment, and his Ionic Rescue products work with heat to counteract the positive charge of damaged hair, creating a balance that helps seal the cuticle.

"The greater the heat, the greater the boost hair receives," says Chan "I.S.H. is the first hair care company to adopt and apply this principle by offering a home system that conditions in various degrees according to the amount of heat applied. With increased heat, the conditioning elements can further penetrate the hair shaft to render benefits such as moisture, shine and silkiness, while combating dryness and brittleness."

In-salon Ionic Conditioning Treatment of I.S.H., a three-part process that relies on heat to activate the moisturizing ingredient, is available at more than 1,000 salons in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico.

The line contains no artificial fragrances. For more information, visit ISHprofessional.com or to find a salon near you that does the treatment: (800) 429-0989.

Beanstalk's Hollywood Hot Weekly Treatment Tip is a new, once-weekly feature of the daily BeansTalk Biz newsletter and appears online during the weekend. We'’ll feature new or just newsworthy beauty treatments, giving a snap to the beauty professionals who put the star in Hollywood starlet.

Who's That Girl: Filming has begun in London on The Girl In The Café, a love story by screenwriter Richard Curtis ("Love Actually," "Four Weddings and a Funeral") for HBO Films and BBC ONE. Directed by David Yates ("State of Play," "Sex Traffic" and the upcoming fifth installment of the Harry Potter film series), the film stars Bill Nighy ("Love Actually," "State of Play") and Kelly Macdonald - seen in the photo above ("Finding Neverland," "Gosford Park"), as well as Ken Stott ("King Arthur," "Sleep When I'm Dead"), Anton Lesser ("Imagining Argentina," "Charlotte Gray") and Corin Redgrave ("Four Weddings and a Funeral," "In the Name of the Father"). The film followes the story of hard-working, shy civil servant Lawrence (Bill Nighy) and his life-changing relationship with the mysterious girl (Kelly Macdonald) he meets in a café opposite Downing Street. The film will be shown on HBO this summer, and on BBC ONE as part of the BBC's programs dedicated to celebrating Africa. This coincides with the U.K.'s Presidency of the G8 in 2005 and the real G8 Summit being held At Gleneagles, Scotland, in July. It is hoped that The Girl In The Café will be released worldwide on the same date. For information on Make Poverty History, see www.makepovertyhistory.org.

    Valentines, Liars and Smelling Good

Get Bejeweled by Susan Fixel: The celebs (like Britney Spears, Jessica Alba, Rene Rousso, Hilary Duff, Sheryl Crow, Elizabeth Rohm, Dolly Parton, Courtney Cox-Arquette and more) do. Fixel, 50, started designing from her home (inspired by a way to transfer the sparkly prettiness of Chopard jeweled watches into clothing).

Her signature tank tops can be ladened with pop-culture tattoo art designs enhanced with Swarovski crystals. ''It's like wearing jewelry,'' she has said of her clothing. ''All my clothes are about looking good and feeling good,'' she explains. ``And they all make you feel great when you put them on.''

The limited-designs are created for only a few weeks, before new ones are introduced. Bejeweled is sold anywhere from small boutiques to Saks Fifth Avenue and is popular internationally.

In 1979, acting as the line’s designer, she and her husband founded the Miami-based Softouch. After the couple sold the business, she continued design consulting for fitness wear.

Her initial Bejeweled designs were done by her own hand. She’s expanded into having a staff now, but the clothing’s still handmade. Oh, and very hot.

For Your Valentine: Bejeweled offers some very Valentine's-appropriate jeweled shirts and tanks (only two designs are shown here on BeansTalk). Remember, these styles are available for a short-time only. Posted by Hello

Sugar Sugar: Using the exfoliating Turbinado Sugar, nourishing Sucanet Sugar, and the revitalizing and energizing benefits of essential oils of Peppermint, Spearmint, and Rosemary, Essencia's new Rosemary Mint Foot Scrub may be a must-do for Valentine’s Day delights.

Turbinado Sugar has been specially chosen for this sugar blend, because its larger crystals are a more effective exfoliant than the smaller crystals of other brown sugars. Turbinado is a raw brown sugar, made when the juice is squeezed from the sugar cane and the water evaporated out. It has not been processed and bleached like white sugar, meaning that sugar’s natural nutrients haven’t compromised or processed out. Turbinado sugar also contributes the natural amber color, and sweet molasses fragrance.

Sucanet Sugar is a darker brown sugar, and sugar in its most natural form; it is the least refined of all sugars. It is pressed from 100% organic sugarcane in a process that preserves the molasses in the sugar, and enhances the scrub with its own exfoliating grains, as well as the rich moisturizing vitamins, minerals and trace elements naturally found in the sugar cane plant. These two sugars are blended with finely ground pumice to gently attack and smooth rough spots on the feet.

Jojoba and Glycerin contribute nourishing and humectant properties and act as gentle cleansers, removing lingering traces of impurities and dirt. Jojoba, of course, is the natural oil much like skin’s own sebum, and is absorbed into the skin quickly and easily. Glycerin, a natural humectant, pulls moisture right from the air onto skin.

The blend of Peppermint, Spearmint and Rosemary essential oils provides just the stimulus and treatment for sore muscles and joints, and hot, sore feet. Peppermint stimulates circulation and soothes and calms pain and irritation in sore muscles and joints; Spearmint cools the feet; Rosemary stimulates circulation and is wonderful in muscular massage.

Rosemary Mint Foot Polish from Essencia is available in a 5.6 oz. tub for $16, and an 11.5 oz. tub for $28 retail. All Essencia products are made of the finest natural ingredients and essential oils. Essencia skincare can be found at specialty beauty stores and spas nationwide, and on www.essenciaonline.com.
