Rubber Duck puts the Hip back into Snow Boots

At the 2007 Sundance Film Festival, a certain snow boot took Park City by storm. Everyone from Lindsay Lohan to Jessica Alba were sporting these Rainbow Brite meets Napoleon Dynamite moon boots in every color from black and white to a very loud circus clown combo of blue, red, and yellow. Hollywoodites trekking down Main Street in the boots caught stares and turned heads left and right from fashion’s less fortunate (those clad in a more…ahem…Ugg-ly looking boot). Rubber Duck designer Eik Ottosen, 27, is the man to thank for these statement-making Snowjoggers. The Rubber Duck Snowjoggers are officially giving all other snow shoes the boot this winter season with ramped up styles and more in-your-face colors.

With the insane amount of popularity from his first Snowjoggers collection, Ottosen has decided to liven up his latest styles with the following new colors:

Purple, metallic burgundy, metallic silver, metallic gold, shiny black patent leather, shiny white patent leather

In addition to the new hues, Snowjogger fans can also take their pick from either high or low tops, and of course the original style will be available too. These nylon winter boots have a suede and rubber trim around the outter sole, a double velcro closure at the back with a logo tab at the side, and a jogging shoe-style rubber sole (specifically designed to be worn in the snow). Toes will be toasty too with the soft and fuzzy shearling lining.

The 2007 Winter Snowjoggers will be available at select retailers and online at http://www.rubberduckbrand.com/ this September. Rubber Duck shoes are available at Kitson, Urban Outfitters, Nordstrom, Intuition, and more.
