Summer Style with Jacquelyne Love

Swim, ready-to-wear and eco-minded fashion designer Jacquelyne Love will open Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Miami Swim with a fashion show and live “Beach Boys” concert featuring special guest John Stamos poolside at the historic Raleigh Hotel on Tuesday, July 10th, 2007.

The illustrious designer turns multi-media as she combines the sexy, Brazilian-cut “Bella Mar Swim” Summer 08 with elegant, organic ready-to-wear and cover-ups found in the “E Label” collection. A few 100% organic cotton swimsuits will be introduced to the collection for the first time.

The event marks the designer’s first show in Miami where she will be joined by husband Mike Love of “The Beach Boy”s who, along with band and special guest, will perform live throughout the show and opening night after-party. Models will saunter barefoot to some of the world’s most beloved music including such hits as “California Girls”, “Surfin’ USA”, “Good Vibrations”, “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” and of course “Kokomo”!

For Summer 2008, Jacquelyne Love creates a 45-piece swimwear collection including the debut of 100% organic cotton suits-an original within the industry. Inspiration for this season comes from the things that are closest to the designer’s heart: the allure of iconic Hollywood glamour- a la Racquel Welch in “Barbarella” meets the natural surrounding of the place and environment she loves the most -Lake Tahoe. Both of which inspire and empower beauty, inside and out.

“Bella Mar Swim” 2008 features four distinct groups. The “Buckle” series is sleek and sexy in floral prints and Tahoe beach hues of turquoise and sand accentuated by brushed metal hardware. The essence of Raquel Welch as “Barbarella” is embodied in the aptly-named “Savage” collection - suede and leather asymmetrical suits in pebble tones of black / deep brown and white in solids and crocodile prints. Romantic and sexy “Lingerie” is beach bound in bark, chantilly, coral, florals and solids with metallic and beaded accents designed to accentuate and enhance a woman’s curves.

Jacquelyne Love’s debut eco-swim collection will make a splash with its sweet and sassy nostalgic influences that includes smocking.“E Label” was first introduced in Spring 07 proving an organic collection can be sophisticated and elegant. For Summer 08 “E Label” features an array of cover-ups and separates designed to complement the swimwear collection. From the beach or pool to the outing or lounge this 100% eco-luxe collection can be worn with “Bella Mar Swim” or on its own. This innovative collection takes joy in both the mind and the body celebrating the female form and saving our earth’s natural resources.
