Anthony Bourdain

Bourdain's New Show on Travel Channel

Anthony Bourdain uses his distinct reputation as a worldwide gourmet adventurer to introduce viewers to people and places, near and far, in Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations. His authentic travel experiences -- the good, the bad and the ugly -- are presented as Bourdain weaves the globe.

“This is not a food show, it’s about people, cultures and places through the eyes of a chef and the prism of food,” said Bourdain. “Food is maybe the fastest, easiest and best way ‘in’ to an unfamiliar place and culture. Once you’ve sat down with people and eaten their food, their whole world opens up to you in ways that wouldn’t ordinarily happen. Food, after all, is the purest _expression of a country, of a culture, a region, a personality.”

Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations launches Monday, July 25, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT) and will air Mondays from 10-11 p.m. (ET/PT).

Upcoming premieres include:

Why the French Don’t Suck” -- Premieres Monday, July 25

<>Yes, it is the city of light and love, but Paris also manages to be an inspiring, invisible city full of unexpected surprises. It is the latter explored on this journey - a Paris of working-class subjects with varied ethnic origins - hardworking people who contribute to the city's pulse and edge, like the meatpackers who consume wine and rare beef in the early-morning markets.

Hello Darkness My Old Friend” -- Premieres Monday, August 1

<>There are only four hours of daylight each day in Iceland in the middle of winter. To outsiders, it seems like a dark time of year. To Icelanders, it’s an opportunity to party and dance the night away – the perfect backdrop for Bourdain.

Off the Jersey Turnpike” -- Premieres Monday, August 8

Although born in New York City, Bourdain was raised in Soprano territory - Bergen County, N.J. This episode, both an investigation and a sentimental personal journey, seeks to answer the question, "Why, in a place so close to New York, is New Jersey such a presumed culinary and cultural wasteland? What is the Jersey identity?"
