K9 Karma: Daily Doggie Joy

Animal Planet is bringing people and dogs together like never before with its new half-hour series K9 Karma, encouraging people to seek out the joyful connections between themselves and their dogs.

The series airs weekdays at 11:30 a.m. ET/PT beginning Monday, August 15, 2005

Dog trainer and yoga instructor Kari Harendorf and five-year-old husky mix Charlie are best friends living together in New York City who teach yoga to dogs and their owners. Each episode of K9 Karma begins and ends in the yoga studio, but the good karma doesn’t stop there. Kari and Charlie present a new approach to life with your dog through enlightening and sometimes surprising adventures in and around New York City. A one-hour primetime special introducing Kari and Charlie and their special style of yoga will air on Monday, August 15, 2005 from 8-9 p.m. ET/PT.

K9 Karma is a training ground for people who want to live life to the fullest with their dog. From visits to a nursing home to cheer up the residents to a dog biscuit cooking class and even a doggy acupuncture session, you will come away with some great ideas for activities to enjoy with your dog.

When it comes to dogs, Kari knows her stuff. She spent three years as an emergency vet tech, and she's an expert animal behaviorist and dog trainer. Kari has been practicing yoga for eight years and became a registered yoga teacher through the Integral Yoga Teacher Training Program in 2002.

Charlie is a loveable mutt who offers a humorous and witty perspective to life in the big city through voiceovers within the show. K9 Karma is being produced for Animal Planet by Arden Entertainment. Dan Arden is the executive producer for Arden Entertainment. Wendy Douglas is the executive producer for Animal Planet.
