Fawlty Towers

30 Years Later: Fawlty Towers

Fawlty Towers Revisited -- In the nearly 30 years since “Fawlty Towers” first made its appearance on the BBC, it has become an iconic television reference point. This special draws on an exclusive BBC interview with series creator John Cleese, who talks about the creative process, casting the show and how he and co-writer (and then wife) Connie Booth collaborated on each episode, and provides sparkling inside commentary. Excerpts from a recent follow-up interview with Cleese at his ranch in Santa Barbara, California, add to the program; others from the cast and crew contribute their insights. /TV-G/ airs December 9, 2005 10 p.m. to midnight on PBS.
