Big Sway "Pearl" Jeans

Denim Designer Donates
to Hurricane Victims

Hugh Hayden of Big Sway Denim, a New Orleans based company, has salvaged approximately one thousand (1,000) pair of jeans of different styles from his warehouse that was devastated by Hurricane Katrina. He will donate every pair to benefit those most in need - an $85,000 value at wholesale, $189,000 at retail.

The denim, salvaged by Hayden, was damaged by floodwaters. What was saved was sent to an area wash house to be cleaned and dried. American Red Cross - Louisiana Capital Area Chapter, will distribute the clothing

In addition, Big Sway Denim has teamed up with actor Vince Vaughn and his Wild West Comedy Show to produce the T-shirts for the show. Vince Vaughn, the star of this summer's hit comedy Wedding Crashers as well as Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, Old School, and Swingers will host the hottest comedy tour of the year, Vince Vaughn's Wild West Comedy Show is now playing in 30 cities over 30 days. The show will feature national touring comedians from the world famous Los Angeles Comedy Store. Three of the shows will benefit the victims of hurricane Katrina as well. Big Sway's men's and women's tee shirts and tanks are available for purchase on the Wild West website.

Hayden, who was in the city when the hurricane hit, is rallying friends and family to do what they can to help one another. Its only natural to help the great people of the New Orleans and Gulf Coast areas. These people have no clothes and no homes...nothing. It will take some time for things to get back to normal, but this area of the country is very special and we will bounce back stronger than ever.

Big Sway Denim is a new company that launched their line at the beginning of this year. Jeans retail for $150 to $220. Posted by Picasa
