Bag is Already Up on Ebay
In less than a day, the ET/People Mag Emmy party gift bag was already listed on Ebay. It's already got a big (reserve isn't met) of $150.
BeansTalk attended this party, but we liked what was in too much to consider dispensing any of it. We were most excited about the Ugly Doll key chain, Kerastase Hair products, Trapp Candles, Burt's Bees lip balm, Fairytale Brownies....heck, we were excited about it all.
The food from The Mondrian's Asia de Cuba was especially yummy, with the appetizers being the best (of course, we were hungry by then). It was considerably more crowded this year, compared to last, even though there seemed to be more parties, including the one directly across the street (it was Showtime's event). Drinks were flowing and more than a few aspiring starlets looked like they had a few.
A cute touch were a couple of photo booths in the dining area, in which guests could take four passport versions of themselves. We partook, naturally.
While waiting in line for the Maybelline beauty bar, we overheard the trophy wife of some Warner exec talking about how the year before it was a Revlon beauty bar and before that a Stila one; she alluded to it going backwards rather than forward. However, she didn't mention how last year there were leather Junior Drake bags instead of the vinyl New York and Company ones of this year (but she probably wouldn't since the bags weren't passed out until you left and you couldn't re-enter the party with a gift bag).
At any rate, it was curious to see how quickly one would be appearing on everyone's favorite auction site.
Here's how the Ebay seller (eventsunlimited4U) listed it (it seems accurate to us, but we didn't get an "array" of Meaningful Beauty, only one item, only one Bigelow item, didn't get Herbalife scrub, eye gel, just mask and moisturizer, one Kai item, perhaps they were combining two bags, keeping items from one they wanted?):
