Iconic
At the 2005 Emmy Awards, Desperate Housewives' Andrea Bowen carried an Icon clutch with mirror, with the above design from the company's latest, "Memoirs of a Geisha." The bag in the photo above will retail for $250.
Based on the internationally acclaimed novel by Arthur Golden, “Memoirs of a Geisha” is a sweeping romantic epic set in a mysterious and exotic world that still casts a potent spell today. In the years before WWII, a penniless Japanese child is torn from her family to work as a maid in a geisha house. Despite a treacherous rival who nearly breaks her spirit, this girl blossoms into the legendary geisha Sayuri. Beautiful and accomplished, Sayuri captivates the most powerful men of her day, but is haunted by her secret love for the one man she cannot have. The movie is directed by Academy Award nominee Rob Marshall (Chicago) and produced by Lucy Fisher, Douglas Wick and Steven Spielberg. ICON has created an exquisite collection of handbags, ladies’ shoes and personal leather goods that display the imagery of the movie.
