Herbs grown organically & biodynamically on the Jurlique Herb Farms in South Australia.

In 1985, Dr Jurgen Klein and Ulrike Klein invested in land and laboratories in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia, having imigrated from Germany with their young family in 1983. Jurlique`s Herb Farms in South Australia now produce 95% of the herbs and plants necessary for inclusion in Jurlique`s extensive skincare range.

Initially Jurlique was sold through health food stores and was relatively unknown in mainstream cosmetic industry in Australia. Jurlique now supplies retail outlets worldwide with more than 20 Concept Stores Australia-wide, another 20 overseas and extensive distribution within the international Beauty Therapy, Department Store, Pharmacy and Health Food industries.

The founders of Jurlique believe that we must all do our bit to preserve the planet by implementing environmentally sustainable practices at every opportunity.

In addition to strictly adhering to organic and biodynamic farming practices at each of Jurlique`s two Herb Farms, Jurlique also ensures that our products are 100% bio-degradable. Jurlique packaging (glass bottles, aluminium tubes, cartons, etc) are fully recyclable - even the material used to protect our products in transit to stores, stockists and internaitonal distributors is totally bio-degradable. We limit the use of plasitc to products where safety or convenience is an issue. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide recycling services in our stores for reasons of hygiene and cross-contamination. Posted by Picasa
