Demeter Fragrances Recreates Memories
It is more than mere coincidence that Demeter Fragrances takes its name from the Greek goddess of agriculture. Well known for its cutting edge fragrances like Dirt, Tomato and Grass, the fragrance house stands out by bottling down-to-earth scents that evoke pleasant memories and the experiences of everyday life.
“We create scents that are drawn from memories” explains Christopher Gable, co-founder of Demeter Fragrances. “We want each scent to take people to a special place or time. For instance, Tomato brings me back to my grandfather’s farm, where I’d play in the dirt and sniff the vines of his tomato plants.”
